ID:906 looks like an early 1970s Chrysler Valiant. From Australia, of course.

We're into ID906 here, and ID901 is yet to be identified!

C'mon DM, out with it. By now you must know that no one except you has any idea what that car is!

The very specific model ID:906 is a 1970 Valiant VG 2-door coupe. The hood ornament is missing -- you can see the hole.

The VG's most noticeable difference was the use of rectangular headlamps instead of the traditional round ones.

What made it very specific is the fact that
it had the first unique Chrysler Australia engine -- a Hemi-6. This was a 245-cid (4.0 L) Hemi-6 with high-lift cam that developed 185 bhp with a 2 bbl carb. With a 4-barrel carb, it could do the quarter mile in under 16 seconds.

What car???

Hmm, I’m racking my brains in an attempt to understand what on earth you might be referring to… No, wait a second! Could you, perhaps, mean the Brazilian Bianco Tarpan introduced in 1978 with the mechanicals of the Passat TS which ended up resorting to VW Brasilia parts for the subsequent production version?

Its more recent incarnation, the 1981 Tarpan TS, did eventually use the Passat’s 1.6L engine though, and the same year also marked the introduction of a limited-edition convertible variant (Series C for ‘Conversível’) which I also posted somewhere above.

This sympathetic model was discontinued with the Bianco factory closing its doors in the mid-80s.

Let’s see what else I might have… Top speed (unsurprisingly, given the engine) amounted to a mere 150 km/h with 0-100 km/h acceleration around 15 seconds. Very respectable, if you ask me, and quite in tune with the car’s sporty appearance.

Finally, I suspect you might be more familiar with its more renowned relative: the Bianco S.

Sweet. That's gotta be the world's smallest notch-back coupe.

Fuel economy would be great, but also maneuverability and parking, in today's crowded downtown spaces, infested as they are with swarming ugly tall-boy Korean and Japanese bread boxes -- even the ones masquerading as Chevrolets.

Love the large wheels for such a small car and overall visibility must be topping too.

Ah… the Gurgel XEF. I didn’t realize you were into Brazilian cars, CCC! Studying up in case I introduce another Tarpan-worthy rarity perhaps?

908 is a Kia Picanto. It has that family c-pillar kink seen in other Hyundai and Kia hatchbacks.

Looks like I'll be traveling to a galaxy far far away, that time's forgotten, to find a car you don't know about.
