OT
@ Ram: Do you work for CIA / Interpol. Or have you developed an image search engine so strong that you get the precise pic everytime and hence you not only identify the car but the backgrounds as well.

Ram for you it shouldnt be "Identify the Car" rather "Identify the background / place" where the pic is taken.

Great work sir.

This menacing looking coupé is a Spanish Pegaso - I'm afraid that's where my limits are.

OT - India was rumoured to have had 2 Pegaso with some royal family. Not traceable today.

I"m risking my neck here (not that it matters), but a hunch tells me I've seen this car (pic) somewhere and its not what you mentioned. Will continue to think on this till Ram clarifies.

ID:685 is the Pagaso Z102 B

MAde between 1951-58 it was sold with three engines options: 2.5, 2.8 and 3.2. Though the output figures were not published, it was believed that the range was between 175-250 bhp. From 53 turbocharged versions were available with one or two turbo charges.

Regarding ID:680Well it was strikingly similar it the Alpine A 106, especially the wheels, the C pillar and the rear glass on the C pillar are almost identical. Only missing are the ait vents below the rear quarter glass. Even the front fogs are integrated o the bumper, almost alike in both cars.

Apal on the other hand, a Belgium company, mainly made replicas, of the Porsche-Abarth and built majority of its sports coupes and soft tops on VW beetle chassis.

Good one Agspins, as usual.
Now this thread is looking up again.

Also both the Peugeot and the Moskovich were previously posted...... but what the heck, go on its fun!!

@ Ram- check out the similarity between the Jeep Wagoneer and the Lark wagon.

ID 685 looks to be one of the earlier ones say 51-52??
Notice the odd gearshift sequence of the Pegaso.

Too much detail on the car Gogi Bhai, while I feel I'm playing High Stakes as we wait for Ram to clarify. ITS NOT A PEGASO! Either I'll be proved wrong, or you just did too much data mining for nothing.

Its a Pegaso Z102 B allright!! I can give you more detail but Ram will whack me for it.

Now im in my office with a larger screen on the laptop not speculating with a tiny image from my BB.

Can regognize the car even with the door closed and looks better in the sepia colour rather than its original fruit coloured avatar. Now even Ram is trying stunts

ID:685; 1951 Pegaso Z102

Actually ID:685 is a Pegaso,
but Gogi, you were not right about the newer Z102 "B" which had sharper features and an alloy body.

ID:685 is a 1951 Pegaso Z102 (not the later B Berlinetta)
This early body was steel on a steel chassis.

The Z-102 was wholly produced by Pegaso at Barcelona.
It had a quad-cam all-alloy V8 engine, dry-sump lubrication, and a combo transaxle: 5-speed non-synchromesh gearbox plus differential as one unit.

Pegaso Z102 B 2.8 Saoutchik Coupé
Gogi, here is your alloy-bodied Pegaso Z102B. It was ID:568 on this thread in January 2009

Actually Ram id rather believe what you say, than Wiki or the web. Somewhere someone has put a similar looking car on Flickr stating it to be a 1957 but i thought otherwise too and mentioned that it looked like an earlier model.

Regarding the B, it was too late to correct my post. After posting my answer i stumbled upon the actual pic of the orange car but was very exited having found your posted pic and didnt realise i had again mentioned it as a Berlinetta.

Good one Ram.

Sorry Aniket!!
