I beg to differ. The Nissan Crew is a different car from the Nissan Cedric. Show me a picture of a Nissan Cedric anywhere in the world that is the same as the Japan domestic market taxi Nissan Crew. The Nissan Crew is not available for the public to buy, not in Japan, not abroad. The Nissan Crew also can have optional automatic power operated rear doors. This option is not available to the public.

SAMLL BLOCK (350ci) CHEVY V8 ENGINE
CHEVY TH350 AUTOMATIC GEARBOX
HOLLEY 600 CARB ON EDELBROCK MANIFOLD
CRANE FIREBALL COIL
MALLORY DUAL POINT DISTRIBUTOR POINTS AND CONDENSOR

REAR WHEELS/TYRES – 8.5/15 WITH 265/70/15 GENERAL TYRES
FRONT WHEELS/TYRES – 6/15 WITH BFG CONTROL 215/75/15
AVO COIL OVER FRONT SPRINGS WITH ADJUSTABLE SEATS
VENTED DISCS WITHG 4 POT CALIPERS AND GOODRIDGE HOSES
JAGUAR MK2 4.27 AXLE

The original car would have been like this one of 1951
Bang on agspins & vw splitscreen. It is a 1951 Four Light 14 saloon made by the rare marque of Lea Francis of England.

This particular model was quite popular though, and made in saloon, estate and convertible guises. A total of more than 2000 14s were made.

The Lea Francis owner's club of UK is doing its bit to save these cars. In addition, LFs are being discovered in Australia, New Zealand and the Caribbean, previously doomed for destruction.

ID:667; 1954 Salmson 2300 Sport

ID:667 is a 1954 Salmson 2300 Sport.

Made in France (zoom in to Karl's pic, to note the yellow headlamp bulbs).

These cars were products of the Société des Moteurs Salmson which went broke soon after. They were manufactured in Billancourt, near Paris.
The last special Salmson car: a 1957 Salmson 2300S won the Le Mans 24 hour car race in the GT category.

OT:
An early incarnation of Salmson: Emile Salmson & Cie, Ingénieurs Constructeurs was as a manufacturer of hydraulic lifts and aircraft engines.

Significance to India
The world's first airmail flight in history took place between Allahabad and Nainital in India, as far back as 1911 ! That flight was flown by an aircraft with a Salmson motor.

The next incarnation of Salmson: Société des Moteurs Salmson built cars.

The next (and current) incarnation of Salmson was(is?) as a manufacturer of rotary water pumps: Société des Pompes Salmson.
These pumps are very high tech today, with ECM technology.

The picture Karl posted was taken at the Avignon Motor Festival, Parc des Expositions, Route de Marseille - 84006 AVIGNON cedex 1, in the south of France.

The little white French coupe parked parallel to it and on its left is
a late 'sixties Matra M-530.

Sure thing, Karl.
Here...

Official Guess the car Thread (Please see rules on first page!)-salmsonwebpage.jpg

Check out:
L'historique de la marque

It says, "Un avion équipé d’un moteur Salmson réalise le premier vol postal de l'histoire entre Allahabad et Naini aux Indes."

My translation:
"An aircraft equipped with a Salmson motor, achieves the first postal flight in history, between Allahabad and Naini in India."
