Absolutely Correct.
The Century was Toyota's most luxurious model at its inception in 1967, and maintained this status throughout the 20th century. Today, it is placed above most of the Lexus lineup in Japan, and remains the most luxurious and expensive model to wear the Toyota badge.

Not first car. First British production car to have alloy wheels as standard.
Triumph's Dolomite Sprint first debuted only as recently as summer 1973.
The 1968 Saab Sonett had OEM alloy wheels.
Oops!! Did not know that. Sorry about the Wrong info.

ID 543 Chevrolet Vega - first attempt at a cheap no frills car
The vega has been featured already on this thread. I remember rishi kapoor driving in a red coloured one soon after the success of bobby. It was a gift from his father for the films success
ID:543 is a
1971 Chevrolet Vega.
Gogi, the one featured 420 cars and 2 years ago was a 1976 Chevrolet Vega [ID:123].
1971 was the year Intel Corp., a memory-only producer until then, tried their hand at something that would deeply transform our world: the microprocessor. The 4-bit Intel 4004 debuted. Among zillions of other intelligent systems that would become possible, it blazed a trail to affordable ECUs!
1971 was the year, GM introduced its first subcompact -- the Chevy Vega.
India went to war with Pakistan. The top three box-office movies were Haathi Mere Saathi, Dushman and Maryada, all featuring Rajesh Khanna, grossing Rs. 7 crore, 5½ crore and 4½ crore respectively.
I was a car-crazy 13-year-old in the 9th standard and Fiat 1100Ds and Ambassadors ruled India, even back then, the 1971 Chevy Vega had a 2.3 litre OHC aluminium block 4-cyl. engine and featured a 50,000 mile disposable air-filter.
Karl, Vega is to Camaro what the Pinto was to Mustang. Smaller subcompact from the same manufacturer. Naturally it shared some styling nuances.
