Mr. Ram,

I seriously suggest you write a book on the vast knowledge of cars you have.

This is the VW golf, scheduled for launch by mid of 2009 guys.

As a part of VW we the Bangalore Beetle Club got to know what car is getting launched when.

a) 21st of January 2008, the PASSAT is officially getting launced.
As a part of pre publicity the Beetles will be on a small rally flagging off from Hosur road VW show room to major cities with PASSAT in between us.

b) Mid 2009 the Golf will be launced which will be followed by Polo at the starting of 2010

c) Mid 2010 a small car priced between 2.75 - 3.80 lacs called VW Space-Up will be launced.

The Golf and Polo are already on test since 2007.

Did you know guys that the Passat was tested in INDIA for over 10 years before launching it for sales.?

Will keep you guys updated on whats next with VW

Esteem lover, you know very well how long these new models last.

I presume all latest vehicle cannot stand even upto 20 yrs of abuse on roads.

Once it exchanges 4 hands the car will be down in dumps.

VW has proven over years that they have the car that stands test of time.

My VW is exactly 40.2 yrs old, it still gives the present day car arun for their money.

Thats the only reason why such long tests.

They are sure of what they are doing.

I think the actual version is that VW brought in some cars for testing in the mid 90's when the VW-Eicher discussions were going on. I saw a convoy of them once undergoing testing. 10 years is too long, 1.5 product generations. Mercedes spend about a year testing but they use 30-40 mules in different areas/ climates
