Got an email forward with some pictures of a mercedes SLR modified by ASMA. Apparently, this was done for some member of the Abu Dhabi royal family. Haven't been to Abu Dhabi yet (in spite of living like close to 180 kms from it) so haven't managed to spot the car anywhere but I guess its very much there. Without much further ado, the pictures:

Thats one wicked looking merc. Could have retained the merc logo but. What material is the body made of, it seems to have a matted finish to it.

I think that is Carbon Fibre Sheets.
The first pic reminded me of DC.
But later on and the close up one is
wicked as you mentioned.

The SLR shell is made out of carbon fibre. Why would they use sheets,man?

You guys seem to be corrupted by these sheets.

Answering the question, the surface is bare carbon fibre without paint on it, I think.

This is the BEST Camaro ever! It's got the same 6.2L supercharged V8 from the Corvette ZR1. While the engine normally produces 638 hp in the ZR1, as its name suggests, the Hennessey HPE700 will be shooting for over 700 horsepower. Only 24 examples will be produced and Hennessey has already sold 11.

ASMA is a german tuning firm. These german tuning firms have to put in their own logo which is as per VDAT (Association of German Automobile Tuners) rules.

Wow! That Camero is sweet. Simple and sweet. The thing it has under the hood is a killer.
And, there must be carbon fibre sheets on the modded parts of the SLR atleast! Come on you guys!!

that slr looks like some wide body kit work by a local delhi guy,with paint work gone bad,not a german work.
