ncie find.. but i dont believe the figures..
for e.g. the 1987 Oldsmobile Aerotech with a 2 Lt. engine producing 750 hp ?
show that to F1 engine directors.. they'l sue !

and the Lotec Sirius.. a road version was never created or driven..
are these just hypothetical figures on the dyno ?

This is not in production yet and being concepts you CANNOT count them in your list of fastest cars ever. ohh and Rehaan ( ) it would've been more simpler if he would've said fastest 4-wheelers . And also officially the fastest ROAD-LEGAL CAR in todays day and age remains the Koenigsegg CC8S followed by the McLaren F1

Yes Shravan, that's the ironic part Rehaan is talking about. Regarding concept and kit cars, no one has said fastest production car ever. It's just fastest cars ever. That's why I put this list up.

Wasn't there a car called 'Golden Rod' which was supposed to be the world's fastest piston engined car?? I think it ran in one of the salt desert land speed record races.
Any info guys??

Hey Shravan,

You're right about that, there are piston'd 4-stroke "cars" that have done a LOT more than any speeds listed here.
I guess the specifics of this list are quite vague
