Was just wondering that even if I could afford it and even if they would sell it to me. Where would I drive it?

Looks - Mixed reaction. Some parts nice and some ok.
Performance - Mind blowing, 1430 Nm of torque. It would need a parachute to stop it.

If my memory serves me right, Jeremy Clarkson - the TOP GEAR celeb did a 407 kmph and this was in Volkswagen Test Track in Germany.

IMHO, Zenovo looks terrific. Looks better than the Veyron.

Let me tell you guys, it might be possible for many a car maker to make a 2000bhp car today but what really matters is that it should be a design and engineering marvel and not an ugly cocktail of legendary supercars.
We remember and respect the Mclaren F1, Veyron, Zonda and Koenigsegg series cars, but do we the SSC areo, Gumpert Apollo(I know quite a few people might be liking it but I personally hate it's looks) and the recent one which looked like a cocktail of Saleen and Ascari(I don't remember it's name).

specially aero ssc.I thing each body panel will eventually fall off when things like that try to achieve their top speed.I personally like Gumpert Apollo. Its german!

Even though this Zenvo packs 820 bhp/tonne compared to Veyron's 500 odd bhp/tonne it cant do 400 kmph nor can it keep up with the Veyron in a straight line.Thats the magic of engineers at VW!Thats the magic of the Veyron!

Spot on Jayabusa. Might be but have you'l guys heard about "The Beast" that belongs to John Dodd, build started off by Paul Jameson? This is one helluva crazy machine. Used the RR Merlin engine from a Spitfire. Not the best looker and not the fastest but then hand-building a car outta 27-Litre, V12 WWII fighter plane engine, that is something.

Here is a link for more info.

Couldn't agree more. If required, engineers can stuff a couple of thousand Horses under the bonnet. But bringing the whole package together in a beautiful shell and making it as reliable, safe, and well engineered as the Veyron is another story altogether.

And to make a fast car even faster it's more than just playing with Torque and HP figures. I recommend everyone sees JC's Supercar showdown to understand how brilliantly engineered a car the Veyron is. Unsurmountable, for a while in my reckoning

Danish magazine Bil has driven this beast! The Denmark-assembled 1,104-hp, 233-mph ST1 offers "predictable" handling, and piloting one is "like driving a small hatchback," albeit a stupendously fast one. If nothing else, the Danes sure knew how to make the car's 7.0-liter V8 sound properly mighty. Follow the jump to see a little of the car in action.
VIDEO: Zenvo ST1 is a Danish delight

looks mean to an extent, and the perspective from the rear is the best shot (2nd pic). From the side on view, the front reminds me of a fish opening it's mouth!

The performance : simply awsome
Looks : Striking but seems to have taken its and bits from other hyper cars so cant say its as good as the packaging when it comes to the likes of Buggatti or a Koenigsegg which are unique in looks.

Its definately got the power to take the game right up to the veyron and the koenigsegg. But the styling leaves alot to be desired.Especially the highly hideous front end.

Makes me wonder. With such limited numbers, how do niche companies like these make a decent sustainable profit? They must surely invest lots in R&D to develop these supercars.

Or are they R&D wings of larger organisations - where the brand & technology developed, matters more than the moolah raked in?

Re: Koenigsegg and Bugatti watch out-here comes the Zenvo ST1!

Time to bump this thread up!

Koenigsegg and Bugatti watch out-here comes the Zenvo ST1!-image.jpg

The Zenvo ST1 was severely criticized by Clarkson in the latest episode (Season 21, Episode 3) of Top Gear.

Not only did the 1100 hp supercar breakdown multiple times, it ended up catching fire after the cooling unit failed! To add salt to the injury, the car (another one) clocked 1:29.9 on a highly wet Top Gear test track when The Stig managed to get behind the wheels.

Zenvo was embarrassed (and infuriated!). Rightly so, when you realize that a 660,000 GBP high-performance hypercar broke down thrice, caught fire and did not manage a semi-decent lap timing when it was being featured and reviewed on a popular TV show. Something isn’t right because that speaks volumes about the reliability of such an expensive car. But then again, Zenvo is relatively a new company and probably have a lot to learn ahead. They have released the following press release statement:

Quote:
"The Stig's Supercar 'at the Top Gear show. After being named 'The Stig's supercar' and Credited for staggering performance in Top Gear Magazine in 2010, the car faced problems on its appearance at the Top Gear TV show. The car HOWEVER, också gjort good results during the tests.

At the first visit, the clutch of the car burned out after an hour of extreme drifting by Top Gear drivers. At the second visit, a faulty intercooler fan caught four after more than one hour of intensive high speed testing and 50 liter of fuel used. The source of the fire, er traced back to a defect in the fan delivered by an anerkendte automotive supplier. After this incident Zenvo Automotive er Conducting grundig testing of all fans before mounting themself in the cars.

The car unofficially nått 304 kmh (189 mph) som was the highest speed målt on the straight of the Top Gear test track senere hour. This information did not air on the show. Also not made public var att Top Gear clocked the acceleration time from 0-100 kmh (0-62 mph) to 2.69 seconds on steam tarmac.

Instead Top Gear brought a lap time with the Stig Conducted on a day where driving was not recommended in many parts of Britain due two low temperature and extreme rain. The weather conditions and the Amount of water on the track Severely reduced traction on the cars 345/30 ZR20 rear tires have found that a lap time det ikke reflektere the real potential of the car in dry conditions.

Zenvo Automotive is looking forward to making a more realistic lap time in dry weather conditions. The Zenvo ST1 har list price of £ 660,000 and not £ 800,000 as konstaterar in the show."
