A Jimny like Swift? Well that’s exactly what it feels like. Suzuki has revealed a one-off Swift with rugged looks and taller suspension. This model has been created by Suzuki Netherlands, and will not see a commercial market launch.

Named the AllGrip FX – for "Fun" and "eXplorer", it is based on the standard all-wheel-drive Swift sold in Europe. It gets new, taller 195/55 profile "coarse" all-season tyres on. There is 172 mm ground clearance, 32 mm more than the regular Swift Swift AllGrip.

Other features include black alloy wheels, black cladding for the wheel arches, a Thule roof rack, black Suzuki badging, a rubber rear bumper guard, AllGrip decals, and a Tralert front LED light bar.

On the interior, it gets leather upholstery with AllGrip embossing, rubber floor mats, and a Dometic cooler and storage box.

The Swift AllGrip FX is powered by a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine with 12-volt mild hybrid tech. It develops 81 BHP and 112 Nm torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox mated to an all-wheel drive system. The system activates a clutch pack that sends drive to the rear axle when wheel slip is detected upfront.

Although officially this never show up besides this photoshoot, I can clearly see this inspire 100's of copies of the Kit. Seems easy to replicate actually.

Won't be surprised to see Swift Dakar on our streets soon.

Would be cool actually! I think the trend here in India leans more toward upsized wheels, low profile tyres and a lowered stance

It's a real shame that Suzuki India will never bring these good cars here.

Why tempt us poor souls when they are anyway not going to launch it? They could just create a render instead.

Re: One-off Suzuki Swift AllGripFX off-road version revealed

While I share the enthusiasm, customer base in our country is such that products like these would not succeed. Suzuki gives us AWD option in Grand Vitara/Hyryder in compact SUV segment, but sales of AWD versions are miniscule.

Whether this concept sees light of the day on not but body color looks lovely on this car.
