Updated 2026 Volvo XC60 gets larger screen, new grille & more
Since its launch in 2017, the Volvo XC60 has been the car maker's top-selling model and one of the best-selling plug-in hybrids in Europe. More than 1.5 million XC60s have been sold worldwide.
For 2026, the second-generation model that is currently on sale gets a refresh in terms of design, comfort and a faster and more responsive infotainment system.
The XC60 now gets a larger 11.2-inch touchscreen with new features, apps and over-the-air updates. The pixel density is increased by 21 per cent resulting in a crispier display. The infotainment system with Google built-in uses the next-generation Snapdragon Cockpit Platform from Qualcomm Technologies. This makes it more than twice as fast as the outgoing system, with ten times faster graphics generation.
All new Volvos will come with this UX from the factory this year, Additionally, existing 2.5 million customers worldwide will be able to get it on their cars built as early as 2020 via an over-the-air-update happening later this year.
On the exterior, the updated XC60 gets an all-new front grille, new alloy wheel design options and darker tail lights. There are also two new colours on offer: Forest Lake and Aurora Silver. Additionally, Mulberry Red will be available on the XC60 for the first time.
The updated model gets new interior trim options like Quilted Nordico and Navy Herringbone Weave. Other additions include new cupholders, an improved wireless phone charger and a flexible load compartment.
The refreshed XC60 gets optional air suspension and laminated windows.
The Bowers & Wilkins sound system that has been part of Volvo cars over the years gets new speaker mesh design.
The updated XC60 can be expected to come to India shortly after its global debut. Link to Team BHP news
