Yet another quirky design from our own shore - Fiat Avventura!

Quirk#1:
Firstly, to open the boot, it is not enough if you just have vertical clearance. You should also have horizontal clearance.

Imagine you have parked parallel to the road and someone parks right behind you. Now, imaging unloading something from the boot. Carry on, you can only imagine - but cannot unload the stuff!

The spare wheel hinge has to be opened all the way out in order to open the boot. Absolutely impractical.

Quirk#2:
I have read about the kings securing their valuables in a vault which would have multiple locks. The vault can be opened only if the unlocking is done in a particular order - Probably, Fiat took a leaf out of this and tried securing the spare wheel.
