Swedish hypercar brand, Koenigsegg, recorded four new world records, with its Jesko Absolut. The new hypercar beat Koenigsegg's own high-speed world records, previously set by the Regera.

The record-setting Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut was driven by the brand's test driver, Markus Lundh, and was conducted at an airfield in Orebro, Sweden. The Jesko Absolut nabbed the 0-400-0 km/h record, clocking a time of 27.83 seconds - beating the Regera's time of 28.81 seconds. In addition to this, the Jesko Absolut also achieved a top speed of 412 km/h, setting three other world records in the process. This includes a 0-400 km/h time of 18.82 seconds, 0-250 mph in 19.20 seconds, and a 0-250-0 mph time of 28.27 seconds. Reports also suggested that despite clocking 256 mph, the Jesko Absolut had more in the tank.

For the record runs, the Jesko Absolut ran on E85 fuel and was fitted with standard Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tyres. Also, apart from a roll cage and a seat from the Koenigsegg One:1, the car was standard in all other aspects. The hypercar comes powered by a 5.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 producing 1,600 BHP while running on E85 fuel.

Christian von Koenigsegg, stated, "This record run validated the accuracy of the simulated and calculated performance of the Jesko Absolut, which gives us great confidence in its ability to outright be the fastest fully homologated production car in the world." He also mentioned, "In parallel, we plan to see what kind of records the Jesko Attack can achieve, given its astonishing track performance."

BTW, wouldn't Jesko Attack be slower in straight line as it's designed to go around corners with focus on downforce? Wonder what kind of records they are referring to - Nurburgring may be?
