Isuzu has unveiled the facelift version of its MU-X SUV in Thailand. The facelift is part of a mid-cycle refresh for the 2nd-gen SUV.



Isuzu has given the MU-X a significant facelift, including a major design overall, along with a bunch of new features and tech. Starting off with the exteriors, the MU-X now comes with a redesigned front end featuring a sportier front grille, new LED headlights, a larger air intake and new bumpers. The SUV also gets thick body cladding all around the side, sporty alloy wheels, blacked-out B and C-pillars, a refreshed rear bumper and full-width LED tail lights. Isuzu now offers the MU-X in a new 'RS' variant with 20-inch black alloy wheels, blacked-out fenders & roof and lime-green highlights all around.



Inside, the Isuzu MU-X facelift gets a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, brown leather upholstery and a bunch of other creature comforts all around the cabin. The new MU-X also comes with ADAS, featuring multiple safety systems depending on the variant. There is also a transparent bonnet view to help during off-roading.



The Isuzu MU-X facelift carries forward the same engine & transmission options as before. This includes a choice of either a 148 BHP 1.9-litre turbo diesel or a 187 BHP 3.0-litre turbo diesel engine. 4WD is optional but is offered as standard on the RS variant. Both engines come standard with a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Prices for the Isuzu MU-X facelift start from approximately Rs 26.90 lakh and go all the way to Rs 39.90 lakh for the top-spec RS trim.

Isuzu is yet to confirm whether or not the new MU-X facelift will make its way to India. If launched, it will directly take on the Toyota Fortuner.

If only its makes its way through to India, undercuts the Fortuner by a considerable margin, while maintaining a similar reliability. The feature list is also very similar and really like the way this looks.

Holy moly, that is a beautiful machine! Such an improvement over the current MU-X even if only going by the exterior... I cant wait for this to come to India! Come on, Isuzu, hear our prayers!

Get this ASAP in the market, but with beige + Black interiors, a good Diesel & Petrol both paired with an AT gearbox. Tie up with established dealers like how BYD did, price it competitively and have a winner on their hands. People already know ISUZU is a reliable brand, they just need to concentrate on getting the showrooms and service experience right and lastly but most importantly the PRICE!

Looks much better than the current gen. They need to be competitive with pricing. They should seriously explore tieups for service and marketing. The options of 1.8L Turbo and 3.0L turbo provides a good option for buyers. I hope they pack in a competent 4x4 package too for offoraders

Wow what a car!! be it exterior or interior, everything looks well proportioned. But everything fades away with this statement " It is not clear if Isuzu will bring this to India or not". I truly wish this upgrade comes to India as it is a well rounded machine, we are not talking about just any automobile company here.
