“Built By Legends”, a new project that will produce Japanese restomod vehicles in conjunction with the Legends of the industry. Incorporating modern techniques and materials, our focus is to restore and recreate the Japanese tuner cars that had permanently been engraved in our memory. With the full support of the Legendary tuners, we are taking the iconic Japanese cars of the 80’s and 90’s to a whole new level, to be owned, driven and appreciated all around the world.

Built By Legends have teamed up with the Skyline restoration specialist, Garage Yoshida (Nara, Japan) to offer the best “one stop solution” to restore your Skyline. The value of Skylines have increased over the past few years and are now recognized globally as a true Japanese classic. As Skylines are becoming legal in North America, significant amount of the cars are being exported from Japan, some of which are in poor condition. Since proper restoration services are not available in some countries, we are here to bridge the gap between Japan and the rest of the world to offer the best restoration service for the Skyline GT-R.
From full bare chassis restoration to rusted strut panel replacements, we offer several package menus as well as full range of options tailored to meet your requirements. To determine the action plan, evaluating the current condition of your vehicle becomes crucial. Whether you wish to retain the original look by using as much OEM parts as possible, or incorporate performance upgrades, we have the experience, English communication skills and various solutions to satisfy your needs.
As for shipping your car to Japan, our partner, Toprank Importers has the experince in global car shipping to assist you with secure transportation to and from Japan.

Who are they?
The founders, Masa and Katsu are Japanese natives, but were both raised overseas. (Masa in Canada and Katsu in the UK & Australia) Ever since they moved back to Japan, they had a similar vision, to bridge the gap between Japan and the rest of the world in some unique way. They met as founding members of a dotcom start up in Tokyo called Zigzag Asia, which was a portal for Japan’s Pop culture presented in English (Which later evolved into GTChannel). They obviously shared the same passion, which was cars. This passion guided them to meet Yoshi who worked on the same projects for MotorHead Magazine. We simply love cars. We all have lived with a variety of car makes not just Japanese cars but European, American etc, and have driven on all kinds of roads around the world while absorbing exciting automotive culture.
We are a compact team, but we believe our experience, insights and resources can propel us through the challenge of becoming the first successful Tuner Restomod builder from Japan.

Fuji have influenced Japanese culture throughout the centuries. Built By Legends is no exception. We wanted to incorporate the mountain as a motif, symbolizing the Legends associated with our brand. R32

The car that was born to beat the greats, is now reborn to beat them again. The MINE’S R32 transcends the typical JDM Tuner car mindset and delivers razor sharp response, high speed stability, as well as prestigious ownership experience and comfortable ride. MINE’S way is simple. Less weight, More Power, and Perfect Balance. You can have it all in this iconic MINE’S R32 Skyline GT-R.

Restoration
Chassis restoration and reinforcement is done by Kozo Yoshida of Garage Yoshida (Nara, Japan) famously known for his “No Compromise” restoration work on Skyline GT-Rs. Kozo works closely with MINE’S restoring their iconic demo cars including the Legendary MINE’S R34 demo car. At Garage Yoshida, Built By Legends Skylines are completely teared down to its bare chassis, first to be fully measured by a 3D body alignment tester on a Celette jig, then undergoes wet blast, spot welding, and other reinforcements depending on engine power. Fresh 5 layer paint with integrated MINE’S side stripes (Optional), built back with new parts or renewed powder coated parts all around everything down to a single bolt.

The legacy of the Skyline GT-R runs deep, but the R33 is very different to the R32, close but not the same as the R34. The R33 has a distinct and unique character as a GT-R. The Built By Legends MINE’S R33 transcends the typical JDM Tuner car mindset, delivering razor sharp response, high speed performance and stability, all without sacrificing everyday drivabiity. Carefully restored and modified with attention to detail, the end result is a true restomod that comes with the prestige of ownership.

Build In Progress
The Built By Legends SPOON EG6 is currently being built with numerous new designs and technology. Implementing an exhaust layout from the JTCC racing car which enables the car to have a significantly lower center of gravity, the car is being tested and reviewed at each stage of the build. Testing on track and on the road is being done by the Legend, Ichishima san himself.
Some of the highlights include a carbon floor reinforcement by Opera Performance, side flow titanium exhaust system, and brand new interior by Studio Roku Zero.

That's why I Love Japan. They do things in the best way possible (Perfect) and @Mura you can buy that Dry Carbon fiber hood prop for Rs 74,600 but it is for R34.

As these cars are now over 25 years old they can be legally imported to the US and is one of the reasons for the values of these GTR's being so sky-high. Australia seems to be another big market where the demand for these cars are huge.

Those green colour carbon parts are a signature Mine's colour and have found their way on the engine blocks and interiors as well. Getting a real Built By Legends Mine's R 33 would be impossible to India thank's to the strict import restrictions for such vehicles but even the scale model of the R 33 in the 1:18 is in such high demand that it always goes out of stock whenever it's restocked on their website.

Been following the BBL guys since a long time. You've done a great job in compiling all the details of their builds. Youtuber and ex rally engineer Kenjiro Kenneth Bradford(@captbradford on Instagram) had made a detailed review on the BNR32 when he was associated with the JDM Masters youtube channel.
