Audi is said to be working on the next-generation iteration of its Q3 crossover. Ahead of its expected unveil in late-2024 or early-2025, a prototype of the next-generation Audi Q3 has been spied undergoing testing.

The spy images show the prototype seemingly in its late stages of development, as seen from the thin camouflage and production-ready lights. The revised headlights & thin DRLs flank a new grille design. The Q3 is also expected to get a light bar at the rear.



Reports suggest that the new-gen Q3 will get a full redesign, but will feature similar proportions as the current model. The new Q3 will be part of the MQB architecture, although, it could feature an updated version of the MQB Evo platform.



Another major update is that the new-gen Audi Q3 prototype features a charging port mounted on the front driver-side fender, indicating a plug-in hybrid powertrain. However, Audi is yet to officially announce any details of the upcoming crossover.

2026 Audi Q3 ditches camo, spied undergoing testing in Europe.

It sports a more curvaceous design with split lighting units and a pronounced grille.
The crossover is expected to be introduced next year as a 2026 model.

The changes are immediately apparent as the redesigned crossover adopts a more curvaceous front fascia with a rounded mesh grille. The latter is flanked by split lighting units and a sizable central intake.

Moving further back, we can see evolutionary bodywork that features a mix of soft curves and sharp lines. More notably, the model appears to have grown in size as we can see larger third quarter glass.

Other notable highlights include a sleeker roof, a sportier D-pillar, and more pronounced wheel arches. The model also has a distinctive rear end with a pronounced bumper and heavily stylized taillights.

Engine options remain unconfirmed, but rumors have suggested the Q3 could share some powertrains with the Volkswagen Tiguan. It offers an assortment of petrol, diesel, and plug-in hybrid options with outputs ranging from 129 hp (96 kW / 131 PS) to 262 hp (195 kW / 265 PS).

Unlike the recently unveiled Audi Q5, the new Audi Q3 will have split headlights. The thinner upper ones feature sophisticated "Matrix LED" technology for daytime running lights and turn signals and at a lower level the low beam and high beam lamps. The grille clearly shows its new shape, as well as its large open drops as decoration.
the taillights come on, with the brake lights installed on the lower end appendages and with a new graphic on the horizontal bar, where the turn and reverse indicators are also located. The prototype hunted is not a plug-in hybrid, presenting a big difference compared to the new A5 and Q5: the long-awaited Q3 will continue to hide the exhausts behind the bumper but will not sport trims.

the new Audi Q3 has been such that, for the first time, you can see its interior and it will be the same as that of its big brother. A large curved screen occupies the dashboard, as can part of the steering wheel, but the angle makes it impossible to see if it will have a third screen on the passenger side.

the German one will have diesel engines, as well as petrol and PHEV with up to 120 kilometres of range.
