Mercedes-Benz has unveiled its new CLE Coupe. The all-new Mercedes CLE Coupe is the latest addition to the brand's product lineup, replacing both the C-Class & E-Class coupes. Mercedes will also introduce a convertible version of the CLE at a slightly later stage.



The 2024 Mercedes CLE Coupe combines styling elements from both the C and E-Class Coupes. The CLE Coupe gets sleek LED headlights, a trapezoidal grille up front and full LED taillights connected by a dark red trim piece. The CLE coupe has short overhangs, large wheel arches and a sloping boot lid. The 2024 CLE Coupe measures 4,850 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width, 1,428 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,865 mm.



Inside, the 2024 CLE gets a free-standing 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a vertically-positioned 11.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system at the centre. The central display comes with Mercedes' latest UI, along with a bunch of connected features and tech. The CLE has a 2+2 seating configuration with the front seats featuring integrated headrests, heating and 4-way lumbar support functions as standard. The Coupe also gets a 17-speaker Burmester surround system as standard with Dolby Atmos. Seat ventilation and a seven-zone massage function are offered as optional.



The 2024 Mercedes CLE gets a choice of 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, with either rear or all-wheel drive options. The base model comes in the form of the CLE 200d with a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine producing 194 BHP and 441 Nm. There is also a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 201 BHP and 320 Nm, sending power to the rear wheels. There will also be a CLE 300 4MATIC with the same petrol engine, but producing 255 BHP and 400 Nm. Mercedes states that all engines come equipped with a 48V mild-hybrid system, which helps offer an additional 23 BHP.



The top-spec CLE 450 4MATIC gets a 3.0-litre 6-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 370 BHP and 500 Nm. It sends power to all four wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission. The Coupe can accelerate from 0 - 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 249 km/h.

The new Mercedes-Benz CLE Coupe will first go on sale in the US in early-2024. It will rival the likes of the BMW 4 Series, with prices of the Coupe yet to be announced.

Mercedes' new designs are really hitting the ball out of the park - especially in comparison to BMW & even Audi (a little too understated off late)!
Would love to see these on our roads, and knowing Mercedes they will surely bring it here! Just hope they don't get inspired by BMW and launch it in 220d & 200 Petrol trims!
A 300D & a 43AMG would be ideal to meet price points!

I assume Mercedes will bring in the E53 or the E63 E Performance in case an AMG version makes it to India.

The car has a 450 variant which uses the M256 engine in a lower state of tune (~380bhp). A derivate of the same engine is used in E53 variants making about ~430bhp.

New generation 43 and 63 models are based on 2L engines combined with a strong hybrid assistance. It seems unlikely that they will get a 43 since there is a 450 variant making around 380bhp in the line up.

If they launch a E53 for an ex-showroom price point of ~ 1CR, I'm going to make the downpayment without a TD!

Mercedes has revealed the AMG CLE 53 Powered from AMG’s twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre straight-six petrol engine, supported by an integrated starter-generator (ISG) to make it a mild hybrid. The coupe is a performance-oriented version of the CLE that was unveiled earlier this year.

- 449hp, 560Nm (600Nm available for 12 seconds with Overboost)
- 9-speed auto
- All-wheel-drive
- Rear-wheel steering

The optional AMG Optics package brings additional styling changes, including flicks on the bumpers, a larger rear spoiler and a decorative diffuser board between the tailpipes.

The rear section is W-I-D-E!!!
