My buddy and I did the Portland Swap Meet for the first time last year, and we were definitely going to make it back this year. Worth the trip from Alaska. The swap meet is a pretty big deal, spread out over 2 locations (the Portland International Raceway and the Expo Center). Anyhows, if you're looking for any old American classic (cars or parts), this is the place to be. You can find parts, obscure automotive related classic paraphernalia (including old gas pumps), and whole cars (projects, showroom quality, and everything in between). Just some photographs of cool cars, motorcycles, and the swap meet itself in the following pages.

This was a beautiful wide body kit 72 Corvette. The work done was amazing. I can't find the side pic I had taken unfortunately.


Old AMC Marlin. Quite sought after by AMC collectors.


The 65 Pontiac GTO. Legendary.


Chevy Nova


Not my favorite generation, but in really good shape. 1980 (I think) Corvette.






The classic 1st generation Corvette (C1). This was an immaculate example, and was already sold on the 1st day.








69 Chevelle SS. Legendary muscle.


Another legendary muscle car, and one I'm partial to. A 69 Pontiac GTO


1972 Dodge Charger


One of the earlier 1st Generation Corvettes. This one is a 54.


Beautiful rear end.


Fantastically done up old Dodge truck


Ford Bronco fun.


Supercharged 1967 Camaro. This was strictly a drag racer, with plexiglass windows. But could easily be made street legal. All it would need would be functional lights, and actual glass.


1969 Mustang Boss 302. $59,500. Not sure if it sold.


Classic early 80's square body Chevy. About $15k. Pretty good deal for one of those


I'm of course partial to this one. One year removed from mine. This is a 76.

Thank you for sharing AKTransAM! There is something about a well-used, classic car from a few decades ago. I seriously feel sad that the era for ICE is coming to a close and really wonder if the ICE classics will last beyond a couple of more decades in our hands like they do today vs. some museum where we pay $ to watch them standing in a corner.

I find myself most drawn to the Yamaha, at $2000! Its certainly much more affordable than RD350s in India.

Always fun to share pics of cool cars and bikes with folks who enjoy them. But darn, I wouldn't have guessed that RD350's are now so expensive.
