This seems quite inaccurate - front LED setup very different vs the spy shots.

Dacia Duster: all new and also hybrid

- New Dacia Duster will be in dealerships in April 2024, which will change radically compared to the current one.

- The new Duster, while maintaining the proportions of previous generations, will adopt a more squared and muscular style, influenced by the 2021 Bigster concept

- The Dacia Duster should be longer than the current one (about 440 cm against 434).

-The LED headlights are positioned at the two ends of the grille, as if they were links in a chain that continues on it until you get to the new logo of the Romanian house.

- In the lower part of the bumper there is a large air intake to which are added the two smaller lateral ones in front of the wheel arches.

- Will be based on the same Groupe Renault CMF-B platform, expect 3-cylinder 1.0 petrol or LPG engines and, probably, 4-cylinder 1.6 full hybrid with 140 hp.

- 4WD on most variants but will have no diesel powertrain.

Next Gen. Duster ready to be unveiled.

- In just five weeks, the all-new Dacia Duster will be unveiled to the general public

- Internal forecasts point to a significant increase in sales.

- A practical body with high ground clearance, a wide choice of engines, including those equipped with a factory LPG system, as well as excellent value for money.

- The interior will offer increased comfort with a fully digital cockpit, better sound insulation and new equipment options

- Dacia Duster is expected to hit showrooms in the first quarter of 2024, and the first deliveries to customers are expected at that time.

Re: Next-gen Renault Duster spied testing internationally ahead of debut

New Renault Duster global debut on November 29.

New Duster will get a 170hp engine and sit on the CMF-B modular platform.

Quote:
New Duster will get a 170hp turbo petrol
India launch of 5-seater Duster in 2025
Will get a 7-seat version called Bigster
Three engine options:

The new Duster will get as many as three petrol engine options – an entry-level 120hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol; a 140hp, 1.2-litre petrol hybrid; and a 170hp, 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine that's flex-fuel compliant in the top variants. At 170hp, it will be the most powerful Duster ever to go into production.

Re: Next-gen Renault Duster spied testing internationally ahead of debut

I wonder if the new Duster platform has a hybrid option. It does look like customer preferences are moving more towards hybrids

Re: Next-gen Renault Duster spied testing internationally ahead of debut

The new Duster looks amazing! No two ways about it. The designers have hit it out of the park.

Lets hope Renault is still alive in India by 2025. Their monthly sales have dropped from 7k in Sep 2022 to around 3k in Sep 2023. Fall of 60% in a year!

Re: Next-gen Renault Duster spied testing internationally ahead of debut

I hope they launch the 170 bhp option with an AWD and an auto gearbox. Only a Duster can replace my current AWD, it seems.

Here is the first 'speculated' face of the NEW Duster - but seems to be a render.

Re: Next-gen Renault Duster spied testing internationally ahead of debut

I just hope that Renault will not 'Tata' it this time.
I.e. AWD without AT and AT without AWD.

Seeing me buy a Scorpio-N, a lot of my friends want to get into 4WD/AWD space too but:

1. Not sure about driving MT in tricky situations
2. Cannot dump 30L on a vehicle

So, I am really looking forward to this in order to build our exploration fleet convoy (of maybe 3-5 4WD/AWDs)

Dacia Duster 2024 vs Dacia Duster 2023

Quote:
In its exterior design, the 2024 Dacia Duster sports a straightened front end, modern LED lights, and wide metal bumpers. Conversely, the 2023 Duster has softer and more curved lines, while maintaining a very beautiful overall look.
Quote:
From the side, the new SUV has a coupe-like look, with big muscles, hidden door handles and rectangular wheel arches. The model currently on the market has a more classic look, with traditional door handles and a large glass area, but also benefits from two-tone roof bars and wheels.
Quote:
At the rear, the 2024 Dacia Duster offers a much sportier design, with a generously sized tailgate, advanced lights and an imposing spoiler. The current Duster has a lower roofline, a simpler tailgate, and smaller rocker panel guards.
Quote:
the 2024 Dacia Duster could be equipped with the 1.2 Mild Hybrid Advanced petrol engine (with ECO label), both front-wheel drive and conventional 4WD. In addition, LPG versions are expected, a fuel already present on the Dacia Sandero and Dacia Jogger.
Quote:
Renault has just unveiled some interesting mechanical innovations for emerging markets. Thus, it is not excluded that the 2024 Dacia Duster will be equipped with the latest generation EDC dual-clutch gearbox (from the Renault Kardian) and the E-TECH 4x4 all-wheel drive with electric motor on the rear axle (Renault Niagara Concept).
Price is expected to remain one of the strong points of the new Dacia Duster. Despite this, the level of safety will be significantly improved, with a wide range of driving aids.

Finally, this model will receive a seven-seater version, called the Dacia Bigster.

Re: Next-gen Renault Duster spied testing internationally ahead of debut

There was an understated elegance to the styling of the Duster that people truly loved. Even though Renault later launched the Captur (and Nissan Kicks) as improved and more modern versions of the Duster, the Duster continued to outsell its 'modern' siblings by a significant margin. Then there's the outstanding ride quality and tidy handling that the Duster has been famous for. Even today, there are very few cars that can match the ride quality of the old Duster.

I sincerely hope Renault launches the new Duster with this in mind. In my humble opinion, it should be an evolution of the Duster, not an entirely new car merely carrying the Duster nameplate. Take, for instance, the new Hyundai Santro. When the all-new Santro was launched, it was just the 'Santro' nameplate slapped on to a car which felt nothing like the old Santro. And the results - less said, the better.

Hope Renault comes back with a bang with the latest gen Duster!!

Re: Next-gen Renault Duster spied testing internationally ahead of debut

Considering the miniscule numbers that Renault is doing right now with the models on sale, I find their future bleak despite whatever PR hits they put out.

The Renault Duster finds itself in a no man's land now with competition almost a decade ahead in terms of interiors and features. Launching this in 2025 (optimistically) with how Maruti/Toyota and Hyundai/Kia are evolving their products in this segment, they should not even bother IMO.
