Skoda unveils new brand identity, logo and design language

ŠKODA AUTO is going green, quite literally! The company has unveiled its new brand identity today with a new design language, new logo and corporate identity update.

The new ŠKODA wordmark will be featured more widely than the company’s picturemark in marketing communications.

ŠKODA AUTO will use two different green hues in its colour scheme: Emerald and Electric Green. Reason: In surveys, many respondents associated these colours with ecology, sustainability and electromobility.

The VISION 7S provides the first specific preview of an all-new ŠKODA model and at the same time showcases the brand’s new design language.

The concept study is based on the Volkswagen Group’s Modular Electrification Kit (MEB) and has an 89 kWh battery. This delivers a maximum range of over 600 kilometres in the WLTP cycle.

Looks good for an electric car. Whether we like it or not that’s the future.

And this is how the new logo will look on future Škodas:

Skoda had changed its logo to all black a few years ago. More on that here:

Sometimes marketing folks need to appear to be doing something than actually doing anything.

Re: Skoda unveils new brand identity, logo and design language

Both are classy , the logo as well as the design language. If the concept looks as good, can only imagine how well it'll translate into production cars. Skoda has a terrific design team right now.

Actually, I have always liked Skoda's designs, right from the 1st-gen Octavia (a well-maintained example with good rims looks awesome even today). Only time I didn't was the period of the Skoda Laura (weird face of the facelift) and 2nd-gen Superb (weird front + weird proportions overall).

Re: Skoda unveils new brand identity, logo and design language

The Petrol L&K Skoda Kodiaq costs around 50 lakhs on-road in Bangalore. So many questions cross the mind when we plan to buy an ICE vehicle now, because of the Electric Push... Take for example this replacement by Skoda.

1) Where will this Concept 7 electric 7 seater, (kind of an ICE Kodiaq replacement) end up being priced in 2026 when launched?

2) Will buying a Petrol Kodiaq makes sense as on date.

3) Will ICE vehicles demand any good resale in 6-7 years from now on.

If these 7 seater electric vehicles are prices in 70-75 lakhs range, buying a Petrol Kodiaq would still be justified. But how do one take a call now. From experience what do people in the group feel? If a car manufacturer launches an ICE vehicle and an electric replacement, how apart are they priced today and is there any logic that we can extrapolate for future launches.. (Say taking cues from a Nexon Non EV Vs Nexon EV).
