The South African-spec Grand Vitara is similar to the one offered in India. It comes with a choice of two engines. These include a 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol engine that makes 103 BHP and 137 Nm, paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic. This engine is also available with all-wheel drive paired with the 5-speed manual gearbox.

The other engine option is the 1.5-litre strong-hybrid producing 115 BHP and 122 Nm. The ICE is paired with an electric motor that has an output of 78 BHP and 141 Nm. This powertrain comes with a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

I don't know why but the white color just doesn't suit Grand Vitara! Since this particular display vehicle has a contrast black roof, I can imagine how weird an all-white GV would look! (at least for me)
This is the first time in my life that I have disliked the white color of a car.

As per this post and the images shared in the Grand Vitara thread, the Grand Vitara is also available with the 6 speed automatic paired to the AWD system in the South African market.

O boy, we should be happy that Maruti has offered the 6 speed AT in India mated to the 1.5L engine and not the 4 speed AT. So this also means that the 1.5L engine has been mated to both the AT combinations and also in 4 speed AT with transverse mounted engine in the Jimny.

Also unlike India, South Africa gets the All Grip only in AT whereas India only has the MT All Grip.
