Honda has previewed the 2023 HR-V via official design sketches. The new Honda HR-V is expected to be unveiled later this year and will initially go on sale in North America before being available in other markets.



The new HR-V will be underpinned by the same platform as the Civic, giving it a much longer and wider stance compared to the current model.

As seen from the sketches, the new SUV will receive a complete design overhaul. The design sketches showcase the SUV featuring a large octagonal grille up front, flanked by sleek headlamps with integrated LED DRLs and turn indicators. The front also features a sporty bumper with faux air inlets at each corner. The HR-V will also come with large wrap-around taillights and a chunkier looking rear bumper with black cladding, giving it a rugged look.



While details of the upcoming Honda HR-V are yet to be revealed, the SUV is expected to carry forward the same engine and transmission options as the Civic sold in the American market.

Looks like Honda’s taking a similar approach with the HR-V like it took with the Accord - different models for Euro and American markets.

As expected, the American model looks much larger and more stylish. The front end looks very Ford-like.

Honda India, if you’re listening, get out of your slumber. Get this car with the 1.5 VTEC Turbo and Hybrid variants, launch it as a rival to the Compass and Tucson, and watch it easily manage 1-2 K units a month.

From sketches, it looks pretty good, remind me of old Audi Q7 from the rear somehow. But I am pretty much sure Honda will never give us a global model like this Hr-V. And even f they plan to do…..it will take them years.

From these earlier spy shots, you can also tell there will be 2 powertrains. The car with the concealed exhaust is probably a Hybrid.
