The production numbers of the Lotus Elise (35,124 units), Exige (10,497 units) and Evora (6,117 units) add up to a total of 51,738 units, accounting for nearly half the brand's total production in its 73-year history. The Lotus Elise has been in production since 1996, while the Exige was introduced in 2000 and the slightly larger Evora came in 2009.

The carmaker will now concentrate on its upcoming models, including the Emira, the Evija and the Type 132. The Lotus Emira will be the brand's final pure IC-engine powered model and is said to enter international markets in 2022. The Evija, on the other hand, is the brand's all-electric hypercar and the Type 132 will be Lotus' electric SUV offering said to have its global unveil in mid-2022.
