Re: 15 Years with the Ferrari F40

Thanks for sharing this post SSO. I was limiting my dreams and trying to be reasonable but after going through your post I have let out the child inside me and wonder- Why not dream big? Why not dream of owning a Ferrari?

Has any one ever asked you this question on a signal- "What's the retail on one of those?" and have you ever answered back- "More than you can afford pal, Ferrari!" You should.

P.S.:For those who are uninitiated, it is a dialogue in FnF series.

Exactly what I was thinking! Was following the F40 story of Nico from past couple of days and then came across this post. Wow.

Either way it looks awesome!!

Woah! Never expected to see a Ferrari F40 ownership review on Team-BHP. It's a Ferrari that has been a poster on many walls.
As someone above said please post more pictures

Tinker bells! A sweet and befitting poem of your experience with the F40. Needless to say, the experiences you've had are one that you'd cherish for a life time. Subbed!

Cheers!

Well it does have one creature comfort.....air conditioning....but it doesn't work that well. Windows are manual, its a metal cord to open the door and no radio.

Re: 15 Years with the Ferrari F40

Hi. Thanks for sharing your review about the car. Actually, I have been a Ferrari fan ever since I laid my hands on the October edition of Evo in India way back in 2014. I was a fourteen year old kid back then with an interest in cars, especially Ferrari. I still remember, I was waiting in the queue for checkout in a store called Dorabjee's in Pune where I chanced upon this magazine. The cover was all about Ferraris. I got my hands on it and I was blown away by the article on your F40. Since then, I have dumped all my other car magazines, given them away to the scrap paper dealers but have retained this very special issue. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I would get to see the very same F40 on team Bhp (with that and the other articles in the same issue also being my single motivation to purchase a Ferrari when I get the moolah to buy one).
Thanks for sharing Secret Supercar Owner. Attaching some pics of the article if the forum permits. And apologies for the crappy pics, this is the best I could manage on my android phone.15 Years with the Ferrari F40-whatsapp-image-20211225-08.41.57.jpeg

Thank you for sharing this, @SSO. I never imagined that I would see an ownership review of the mighty F40 on this forum! This post surely awakened a lot of people's inner children!

Reading this brought on absolute nostalgia. It took me back to the 7-year old me, wandering in the library, clueless, given the option to choose any one book of my choice, and then I went on to lay my hands on that one particular book, which just had me drooling over it.

Re: 15 Years with the Ferrari F40

one of the most iconic piece of machinery ever made by us Humans. I get goosebumps whenever i watch the below video.

Just being around an F40 is a bucket list of mine, let alone s experiencing one.

Pure, mechanical, direct. I am envious, in a good way

From "Monk Who Sold His Ferrari" to one "Who Would Not Let Go His Ferrari". What a story.
No wonder, it lives to its name. Wish you many more 'Miles with Smiles' on it.

I was thinking, how is it possible? 11 countries, 30k miles? I have been driving to and from my office for 2 years and clocked more. Then I realised that this is no office commuting car, and not all countries are as vast as India.

Lighter side aside, I request you to post some mouth watering pictures like THESE on this forum, too. We are eagerly waiting. Thanks in advance on behalf of all bhpians.

:
Easy on the countries, Europe isn't that big. Italy, France, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, UK, Spain, Portugal, San Marino can all be visited in a few days driving. US was a bit more difficult to get to.
