I really hope they don't take any design cues from the Kia Carens. It seems like it has a dual headlamp cluster design.

Like in Kia Carens, I hope they provide safety features such as Electronic Stability Control(ESC) as standard in all variants of Seltos. Currently, ESC is available only from HTX variant onwards.

I hope they will make necessary changes to structure (especially to footwell area) to resolve issues raised in NCAP test.

Also, hope they retain existing exterior design and update the interiors tastefully.

All said and done, for KIA, Seltos is anyway selling well with all safety compromises. I doubt if they will make any changes!

Kia Seltos facelift with panoramic sunroof likely to launch by mid-2022.



Updated Seltos could share styling with the Sportage.

The Seltos facelift will hit the showrooms most likely before the Creta facelift that is also due this year.

Expect this panoramic sunroof to feature on the top-most variants of the Seltos, while mid-range variants could continue with the single-pane sunroof.

Hyundai - Kia designs are quite polarizing. Some will love it and some will hate it. I personally feel Kia is bit more mature and easy on the eyes. One area these Koreans score high is the interior designs and definitely Kia is way better than Hyundai.

It will be interesting to see who wins this facelift battle of Seltos vs Creta. I think we can run a poll in our forum when both are launched.

Hyundai-Kia has a track record of coming up with great looking designs and then screwing it up by trying to outdo it for the facelifted versions. It happened to the Elite i20 when they came up with that godawful rear on the facelift, the creta with the new generation and now finally the seltos. The problem with almost perfect looking designs is that they are almost impossible to outdo and just turn into caricatures when you turn the aggressive design scale to 11.

It's like they have two sets of designers with completely different thoughts on how a car should look with each set being given a chance in an alternating manner. These designs kind of remind me of vehicles in Star Wars. If a Creta can sell with an oddball design, this one will too.

Kia Seltos facelift spotted, features a middle finger.

While this has been discussed about camouflaged testings in other thread, I believe the people onboard a test car should be given basic etiquette classes. Auto journos will anyway click and publish, so any middle fingers, abuses hurled, etc will go on record as well, and will be quite a bad PR for companies.

In my experience, overlap between people who find this offensive and those who will look at spy pics of cars doesn't exist in such a huge number so as to cause any PR bad or otherwise.

Apart from the test engineers flipping people off, I really do hope they bring the AWD version to India as they have in the American market.
