Re: 2022 Range Rover globally unveiled; PHEV & EV Powertrains to arrive next year

I was among those who disliked the spy pics that surfaced. I felt they ruined the looks of the Range Rover. Post the launch, i ended up sitting and watching quite a few initial review videos, for their entire duration. Am mighty impressed. Would love to be able to afford one someday.. but sigh.

An astonishingly good-looking SUV . Like others, I also didn't like the rear styling first, but I do now. This car looks unmistakably "Range Rover" and no one does designs better than the blokes in UK.

It will sell. You know why Range Rover is so successful, despite the reliability issues & exorbitant maintenance costs? Because it drives superbly (seriously, TD one if you haven't), has opulent interiors, an excellent suspension, deadly styling, can offroad in luxury and of course, that irresistible badge. My comments are based on feedback from Range Rover owners. Once you experience a Range Rover, you sort of become prepared to overlook the headaches.

Re: 2022 Range Rover globally unveiled; PHEV & EV Powertrains to arrive next year

You only need one word to describe this car and that is classy. The new Range Rover epitomises simplicity and and oozes class. Almost a do-it-all vehicle, the SUV is chic yet can go toe-to-toe with a Land Cruiser in the go everywhere department (bar the reliability of course). Like everyone, I too thought that the design was very samey and conservative as compared to the previous gen. However after a couple of days of obsessing over it it's definitely a looker. The designers have managed to keep it classically boxy yet smoothen the lines which definitely makes it look sleeker and "sexier". The concept car like rear end does help the Range Rover feel quasi-futuristic as well.

I couldn't figure out for the life of me what made the new one seem more cohesive and modern but after a bit of "research" I came to the conclusion that it might be the fact that RR has maintained the general dimensions of the previous generation but has increased the wheelbase by 75mm thus reducing the rear overhang which makes it seem less like a jacked-up estate like the previous generations. This move definitely brings it more in line with the other Range Rover offerings and makes it look almost like an enlarged Velar.

If anyone reading this is mulling over buying the Rangie, watch this deep dive explainer by Land Rover. They make the car feel so desirable that you'll end up buying one for each family member

What a Handsome, Classy looking Car , Although the design overall feels more or less similar to the outgoing one, but it is okay, it feels like a new design thanks to the rear styling.

Satin Finish paints on this are definitely going to look deadly and Hot.

the Steering wheel looks somewhat bland on this otherwise handsome-looking interior. Going by the current Fascination over Range Rovers in our country, No doubt this going to sell well

Was just going through the info about this vehicle in Autocar India.

It mentions that "Its ground clearance of 295mm can be raised a further 145mm in the highest of the model’s four suspension settings."

Now that's some serious ground clearance. Can safely say that it gives army trucks a run for money.

This makes it an authentic, company certified vehicle for goons err MLAs.
Most of these are bought by that demographic anyway.

Astonishing. Thar has something like 205mm.

Who's taking this thing off-roading. Though, I can see it becoming handy while climbing speed-breakers of your local mall parking and jumping over dividers on highways.

I agree 100%. Once after driving RR, you can't go back any other car. Even I love the way how it waves me while taking turns with body role .

I never had reliability issues since 3 years and I own BMW X7 2019 and its at service center more than RR. Plus RR maintenance is much lower compared to BMW. I am referring to parts if any replacement required.
