I think it looks quite nice, though that massive NACA duct on the side of the door is a bit polarising. They've got the silhouette, and front and rear right. Anyway, at $3.5 million a pop, they're sure to be a great revenue booster for Lamborghini, since I estimate they won't cost more than a few 100k to build. I wonder if they'll call it an LP800, which is double the original LP-400 Countach model.

Interesting how they've used the later LP400 S edition in the top and bottom pics, but the middle one appears to be some sort of prototype. It definitely isn't an early LP400.

No offense to you, but what on earth is that?! It looks like someone melted a toy model of a vaguely 80s supercar. A Lamborghini smeared with fecal matter would look better. My eyes and brain are scarred for life.

The planned 112 units at that price would be a good revenue boost for sure.

Yup, totally agree with you in regards with the looks, but I guess that's how the 3D Design/Graphics were in 2002 when the game was released.

I've attached the latest version Countach model of the same game, GTA 5, that's fairly old, but much better in terms of Graphics/3D Design in depicting the Countach.

As I suspected this is merely a special edition Aventador. I wonder how people fall for this nonsense Lamborghini needs to learn to do a better job of things IMO while I appreciate the clean looking front-end, just as I had predicted, they were not able to recreate the wedge-like nose of the Countach due to pedestrian safety regulations and modern requirements for large front air vents. That naca duct on the side has been blown out of proportion.

Overall I feel they should have left the legend be instead of resurrecting it in such a disrespectful manner.

This is just absolutely gorgeous and a good move by Lamborghini, which appeals to the business as well as enthusiast side. The car looks very much contemporary and pays more than enough homage to the original. Also, even though it may be based on the Aventador, I don't see how that's a bad thing. The only other option while keeping in mind how they develop their platforms every decade, would've been the Huracán. My only grouse the is the absence of Pop-Up headlights, but you can't have everything.

Lamborghini's legendary Countach name has been revived after 31 years for the Countach LPI 800-4, which pays homage to the original early-1970s design.



The Countach borrows the same hybrid powertrain from the Sián FKP 37, its 6.5-liter V-12 and electric motor offer a total of 802 hp.



The scalloped roof that blends into a retrotastic Countach engine cover matches the Sián, as do the hexagon taillights



The cleaner lines of early Countach LP400 serve as the primary inspiration for this reboot. The nose is properly flat, and while it doesn't sport pop-up headlights, designers added depressions behind the headlights that mimic the old lenses



The new Countach is powered by a naturally aspirated, longitudinally rear-mounted (longitudinale posteriorie, hence LP in the name) V12 engine.



The wheels – 20 inchers in front and 21 inches at the back – adopt the distinct phone dial design that first appeared on the LP400 S and remained a Countach staple until the end.



The new Countach's interior include Digital instruments and an 8.0-inch portrait central touchscreen are standard.



The interior is also the Sián layout, though you'll find Countach branding and minor differences that honor the classic supercar.









The portrait central touchscreen incorporates a new function: selecting the Stile (or design) function will run an animation that explains the history of the Countach's styling.



New Countach buyers will be able to choose from a range of similarly retro exterior hues, including '70s-style solid green and yellow shades.

I do like the way it looks, blends retro styling with modern design very well. But I can only imagine that Sian owners would've probably hung themselves by now. Another limited edition car based on the aventador platform.
I wouldn't go so far as to say its another "body kit special" like the Veneno or the centenario were (essentially just aventadors) but I do think the minimal innovation and minute changes from the existing platform cannot possibly command a $3M+ price tag.

Imagine, for HALF that much money, you can get a faster, more powerful SF90 AND an Aventador SVJ roadster (if you really do want an aventador still).

Kind of harsh, yes. But it is about time they stop milking this platform.

When it comes to these cars and the customers the brands are targeting at, higher top speed doesn't really matter that much. These cars end up with some collector and it will never reach it's claimed top speed even once. The customers want exclusivity. The rarer the car, and more limited the production, they are more than willing to pay.

Let's not call this a body kit. As except a few part sharing like the tail lights, interior, etc. with its siblings everything else is new.
