The GLC seems to have gained length going by the spy pictures and videos. Also it somehow makes the car look shorter height wise compared to the existing one sold in the markets. Gives a more estate, shooting brake vibe rather than a crossover/SUV feeling. In the video below (first one) anyone got any clue what they are doing from 2:25 onwards ?

Off topic: Sedans are getting higher up, being replaced by crossovers, Electrified/Hybrid SUVs are getting lower in height compared to IC engine offerings of the same company (take example of volvo/porsche/Jaguar)

Hello estate designs/body types. You'll soon come back, just that you might be called SUVs with time.

I feel even these new offerings from many manufacturers are paving way via midway transition so that next generation fully electric squatter SUVs are not too radical change in height/length proportions.

A prototype undergoing final testing of 2023 GLC was spotted on private grounds. It had rear-wheel steering, which is expected to have a maximum angle of 4.5 degrees. The revamped GLC is slightly larger than its predecessor. The length will possibly be extended to 4.72 meters (185.8 inches) and the wheelbase will be elongated by 15 mm (0.6 inches). Its increased footprint will unlock an extra 50 liters of cargo volume, thus reaching 600 liters (21.1 cubic feet).

While all C-Class models are restricted to four-pot engines, the GLC will be offered with a six-cylinder diesel. Virtually all the other powertrains are going to be shared between the two. There should also be no fewer than three plug-in hybrids, one of which will combine a diesel engine with an electric motor for the 300de.

If recent reports are to be believed, Mercedes will unveil the 2023 GLC on June 1 and have it on sale across Europe from September.
