Czinger 21C is a 3D-printed hypercar with 1,250 BHP & 452 km/h top speed

Los-Angeles based car company, Czinger has unveiled the final production version of its 21C hypercar. The Czinger 21C will be limited to just 80 units and is said to be the first in a series of 'exclusive performance vehicles' planned by the American brand.

The hypercar was first unveiled in its concept form back in 2020. Since then, however, the car is said to have received a number of updates, which have resulted in a higher top speed and enhanced performance.

The production version of the Czinger 21C has also grown wider than its concept and now measures 2050 mm. However, Czinger has maintained the tandem-style seating arrangement which was showcased on the concept.

Another unique feature on the Czinger 21C is that the hypercar has been built using additive manufacturing or 3D printing. Czinger also claims that each part has been computationally engineered using AI to ensure optimal weight and performance. This allows the Czinger to tip the scale at just 1,240 kg (dry), giving it a 1:1 power-to-weight ratio.

The Czinger 21C is said to be powered by a 2.88-litre twin-turbocharged flat-plane V8 petrol engine sending powers to the rear wheels. It also comes with an 800V electric drive system with a motor powering each of the front wheels. This hybrid powertrain puts out a combined power output of 1,250 BHP @ 11,000 rpm. It is further paired to a 7-speed sequential transmission.

The electric powertrain can also be upgraded to provide an additional 100 BHP if required. There is also a zero-emission EV mode as well.

In terms of performance, the Czinger 21C is said to be capable of accelerating from 0 - 100 km/h in 1.9 seconds, while 300 km/h comes up in 8.5 seconds. Czinger 21C also claims a top speed of 452 km/h and a quarter-mile run in 8.1 seconds.

With all the metal 3D printing that will be highly expensive car.

On a lighter note, why does the name of the company sound like something one will find on the KFC menu?

Ooh! What a beauty. Absolutely love the flowing lines.
Can't wait to hear her growl and chase down prey.

I am a bit surprised they retained the ORVMs. Shouldn't they have ditched them in favour of say discretely mounted cameras feeding digital displays in the interior to reduce drag?
