Nissan has given the Micra a thorough makeover. The updated hatchback will go on sale in Mexico as the Nissan March.



As part of the update, the Micra gets Nissan's V-Motion grille at the front and sleek LED headlights. The redesigned front fascia is a far cry from the quirky styling of its predecessor.



The car has a familiar rear end except for the new bumper and LED tail lights. The dual-tone exterior and diamond-cut alloys further help elevate its look.



On the interior, the car gets a new 3-spoke steering wheel and a 6.75-inch touchscreen infotainment head unit. The all-black interior, with its red engine start / stop button, looks rather sporty.

In Mexico, the Nissan March is offered with a 1.6-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that puts out 105 BHP and 142 Nm. The engine is paired with either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission.

Nissan, please don't bring this one to our shores. I understand this is an easier thing for fewer body panels are to be replaced, rest lot of underlying things appear the same like the previous.

If you have plans, please do NOT consider the efforts to launch it in India. You will save money and time both, which can be utilized for better things.

Its like a mechanic used Pathfinder or Rogue headlights (and steering) due to lack of availability of spares on the older one in his backyard.

If at all, work your R&D to bring the international global Micra to India. I'll be a happy prospect for it! So would be many others.

Can't agree more with you. The make over looks terrible and how different is it from it's predecessor? Such poor strategies by Nissan, better to not release in India!
