Coincidentally I just saw this Velar and from the rear three quarter view, the new RR Sport looks like the next generation Velar. Either ways, I'm not complaining.

So basically Land Rover did with the Range Rover sport what they did with the full-size Range Rover. The current gen Range Rover sport has a timeless design that will age gracefully, so this is no bad thing. However, for some reason, the new generation looks like a GTA parody of the Range Rover Sport. Looks good nevertheless.

2023 Range Rover Sport prices revealed for India, deliveries start in November.

The latest Range Rover Sport price starts at Rs. 1.64 crore (ex-showroom), available in 4 diesel-only variants.

Only 1 powertrain will be on offer – the 3-litre inline 6 diesel with mild hybrid tech that puts out 350 PS and 700 Nm. The engine will come mated with the standard Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (iAWD) system. The petrol variants are expected to go on sale by 2023.

There are 4 variants on offer – Dynamic SE, Dynamic HSC, Autobiography, and First Edition with prices going up to Rs. 1.84 crore for the top-end variant.

There are a total 9 colours on offer – Borasco Grey, Firenze Red, Giola Green, Eiger Grey, Fuji White, Lantau Bronze, Portofino Blue, Santorini Black, and Varesine Blue. The First Edition, however, is available only in Giola Green, Firenze Red, and Varesine Blue.

Making its global premiere on May 10, 2022, with a dramatic world-first climb up a flooded dam spillway in Karahnjukar, Iceland, the Range Rover Sport has seemingly defied the laws of physics!

The epic ascent saw New Range Rover Sport resist the surging torrent of water flowing down the ramp of the Karahnjukar Dam -- the biggest of its kind in the world -- at a rate of 750 tonnes per minute.

A loss of traction risked plunging down the perilous 90-metre drop at the base of the spillway to the valley floor below.

It was good to watch and shows what the vehicle is capable of. But what I had in mind was that the vehicle would be driving on the slope of dam horizontally at an angle and dam gates opening with water at 10-20% capacity. What a drive it would have been.
