That would be if they bring Civic back in India my friend which I don't think is gonna happen. They relaunched the Civic seeing the success of Octavia to some extent and to fill the void left after City. But they've seen Corolla being discontinued, which to be honest, sold a lot more than Civic in India. Finally they closed the plant that produced Civics and with the current market trends, I don't think they would be too eager to bring it back. Rather they should focus on Hrv or an Amaze hatch (erstwhile Brio). They are literally living off City and Amaze which is not going to hold strong for long I guess.

2022 Honda Civic Sedan:

- It features the same 2.0-liter and turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engines as before.

Honda has stretched the Civic sedan’s wheelbase by 1.4 inches and widened the rear track by 0.5 inch. The tortured lines and weird angles from before are gone, replaced by a more flowing design that takes its front- and rear-end designs from the larger Accord sedan. A hatchback model will be coming later, along with Si and Type R high-performance variants that will include zestier turbo engines and manual transmissions

The new Civic’s interior appears to be a significant step up, with an appealing design, nicer materials, and better technology offerings. A 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system comes standard and features volume and tuning knobs and plenty of hard buttons. The Touring model features a larger 9.0-inch touchscreen along with a 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard equipment, and the larger screen allows for wireless mirroring capabilities. An upgraded Bose audio system is also included on the Civic Touring.

2022 Honda Civic sedan details fully revealed

Honda had released a single image of their eleventh generation Civic last week. Now, the company has revealed the complete details of the new model.



The 2022 Honda Civic comes with a clean design, following its new philosophy of 'Man-Maximum, Machine Minimum'. The car measures 4,673 mm in length, 1,801 mm in width, 1,415 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,735 mm.



The new-generation sedan features new LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs. The exterior also includes stylish 18-inch alloy wheels, a sharp shoulder line running across the length of the sedan and LED tail lights at the rear.



Inside, the 2022 Honda Civic comes with a completely refreshed cabin and dashboard layout. The new sedan comes with a 9-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, 12-speaker BOSE audio system, wireless charging and plenty others as well.



Honda has also packed the 11th-generation Civic with its upgraded safety suite. This includes safety features such as traffic jam assist, low speed braking control, front and rear false start prevention, lane-keeping assist and adaptive cruise control, among others.



The 2022 Honda Civic will be offered in four variants - LX, Sport, EX and Touring. The entry-level LX and Sport trims will be powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder i-VTEC engine producing 158 BHP and 187 Nm. The higher trims come powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine churning out 180 BHP and 240 Nm. Both engines are offered with a standard CVT automatic transmission.

The car reminds me of the seventh generation Civic. The interiors are simple but beautiful. I like it. I hope the designs percolates to other models like the City/HRV etc. I doubt this will ever be made in India.

Considering the SUV wave I wonder how Honda still manages to sell these in good numbers in other countries and has also taken efforts to re-design the car. Shows the Civic nameplate has a good pull. Other manafacturers like Ford have simply given up on sedans.

Absolutely /love/ the clean lines and the straightforward stance. The interior is wonderful as well. Is it just me, but I see a little older generation Audi in the interiors? Like the AC vents of the older Q7 and the current Passat as well? I dig the interiors, really well done.

The rear reminds me of the Hyundai Verna. I don't think I like the overall styling except for the front fascia.

That's one beaaautiful looking car, clean & straight lines are so less these days!

I am sure most of the Hyundai and Lexus fans won't like this car especially the exterior. But this will age so well like the Skodas and VWs. And that classy interior is the icing on the cake.

That's one drop dead gorgeous car. Simple, clean and elegant. Now, the tail lights do look like a size or two too large, but other than that, it looks pretty classy. Kudos to the designers for going back to the more traditional and timeless designs in the age of quirky designs.

The Civic looks like a Mini Accord and has grown up in dimensions. With the North American markets favoring this sedan, this will no doubt be a success over there !

I personally miss the uniquely laid digital dash and appreciate the Sokai cockpit concept from the City here as well as the unique ac vents. I'd say kudos to Honda for going back to move forward. The Civic finally grows up!

I am gonna go against the tide to a few comments here. I actually find the design - interior and experience - quite understated, old school muscular and appealing. The front almost reminded me of the original lancer in india.

Even the interior has a nice retro modern look. Just the right amount of modern tech but true to old school form. Isnt trying to look like an iPad on wheels.

I feel the Honda designers have not only listened to the feedback but have acted on it successfully.

Absolutely no chrome. Interiors look awesome with some retro touches.
