Rolls Royce's have fascinated me and bewitched me since I was 8 year old. I have always yearned to own one. The looks of the new Ghost seem an improvement over the outgoing model in my eyes. Royale. Time to go buy one...........1:18 scale model, I mean.

To me, the lower portion of the front bumper doesn't suit the car at all. Dare I say it, I think they took some inspiration from the 2020 Camaro!lol:

The hood ornament seems to be integrated into the hood. The earlier ones had them in the front grill unit.

After launching the new-gen Rolls-Royce Ghost in India, it has now introduced its long wheelbase (LWB) version, christened the Ghost Extended, in the country. At Rs. 7.95 crore (ex-showroom, India) before all the optional extras, the Rolls-Royce Ghost Extended is Rs. 1 crore more expensive than the standard-wheelbase model.

Rolls-Royce Ghost review

As good as the car is, the price is just too high and out of proportion to the sticker prices of the western world! 8Cr plus a few more for options is certainly Phantom money.
Apologies for my bania genes kicking in but I find this hard to digest.

This is the second one to have arrived in India and is presently in Chennai.

The first one that arrived is presently in Delhi.

The official India launch is scheduled sometime this week I am told.

Personal Flashback :
The first time I saw a Rolls-Royce was when I was a lad. It was in the middle east. This was the late 90's. Back then most hypermarkets, supermarkets etc. had raffle coupon draws like system and prizes were mainly cars. These varied by BMWS, Mercs, land cruisers to even Toyota pickups and in very rare cases Rolls. And they were exhibited in the front area on a raised platform. Back to the story. My dad points out to a silver spirit and tells me that is one of the most expensive car in the world'.

I was deeply fascinated by that car. Hailing from a middle class family in the middle east meant you were only used to Toyotas and Nissans. And man even today that fire has not died within me. The Rolls Royce. That is a car.

No other luxury brand has fascinated me like the rolls. Nope not the Bentley. Not the Maybach. IMHO if you are rich, you get a rolls. End of the story.

Now if you will excuse me, I have to go get my cheque book. Anyone knows the booking amount ?:uncontrol

Here are some pictures of the first next-gen Rolls Royce Ghost that came to India, this particular car is in Delhi at the moment.
