2022 Honda Civic Sedan production model leaked – 11th-gen final design virtually identical to prototype.

The is likely to be the production version of the 2022 Honda Civic, the sedan version of the 11th generation. The white car wears China market badges, including a “240 Turbo” one, which is used to denote the 1.5L VTEC Turbo engine with 240 Nm of torque.


New Vs Old:

There’s a bit of an Accord feel to this new Civic, and the notch at the lower window line near the C pillars – seen on the D-segment sedan and Civic Proto – has been retained. There’s also a sloping roofline, continuing the trend started by the mould-breaking FC.

the 11th gen rear is more conventional. The front and rear LED signatures are inverted L shapes. Also, the wheels seen here are flower-shaped two-tone units that aren’t as sporty as the proto’s twin-five-spokes.

Civic just keeps flipping between boring and stunning every alternate generation. 9th Gen was the dullest, while 8th Gen was great. The 10th Gen (2016-2021) is really good looking albeit a little overdone with the vents but at least had its own identity. The hatchback especially looked excellent.

2022 model has lost the identity and is now just an Accord wannabe. Wonder how next type-R would turn out, if at all. Last type-R was extremely in-your-face and borderline tacky. May be a toned down version based on '22 Civic looks would be its saving grace.

What an UGLY looking car...wonder whats up with the Japs these days. Totally losing its plot in terms of design with every upgrade/facelift. Tragic.

Simple and clean lines has become the ultimate sophistication. Take the Octavia for example, always spot on.

Kinda liked the next generation when the sketches were shown and the red model was unveiled.

But seen alongside the present gen, the Civic just looks so mellowed down.

Like @amol4184 had said, there seems to be a tradition of flip flopping between tradition and stunning in every alternative generation for the Civic, even from the 80s,90s itself.

Civic's interior, full specifications and more official photos will be revealed on April 28.

The 2022 Civic sedan will go on sale this summer in the U.S., with the hatchback coming a few months later.

Seems inspired to me! Looks quite a bit similar to the Supra, especially in this red shade. Not a huge fan of this generation Civic, but that's probably just me.
