Somehow, this new gen doesn’t seem as attractive or wholesome as the current car which totally manages to pull of the ‘mehengi gaadi’ vibe. The current Carnival has massive street presence and looks gangsta is black. There is nothing like it on Indian roads and the styling just works. This looks more like a stretched Kodiaq.

The interior images revealed in the latest reveal images makes me think that this is not of the top variant;



The top variant's dashboard should be like this;

It could be of the US Spec Sedona as the layout theme looks like that of the Telluride.

I wouldn't question, if someone stuck a Tata logo on the back and called it the 2022 Hexa.

The design seems to be more SUVish than VAN - as everything with 4 wheels is supposed to look these days.

The current gen looks a bit too "soft" IMHO, and this one seems to be bit too "edgy"

They seem to be going for the TOUGH LUXURY look with this one.

Wow, this looks way more appealing & serious in the pictures. Someone who has already booked 2020 Carnival, its well worth the cancel and wait. Feels sorry for those who just took the delivery of 2020 carnival.

To me it’s absolutely mean n gorgeous. I would like to seriously consider it if the drivability and comfort is not compromised with a good engine n transmission

Front fascia looks like that of a Kodiaq, but the overall design is appealing. Cannot comment whether this version is better than the current one or not! The current one has a classy / semi macho look i would say, on the other hand newer one is trying to do a bit 'too' much.

Great design, overall. Sure, this is not as timeless or classy as the current one, but it makes up for it with its tough and SUV-ish looks.

Looks handsome and a little bling in the front. Toyota's new Sienna has a much more path breaking look. Toyota should introduce that even if numbers are not huge.

Actually that is just the basic lack of a fact check on volkman10's part. It is an image of the dashboard from the latest 2021 Sorento rather than an officially revealed image of the Carnival. AFAIK Kia has not released any interior images as of now.

The reason of not launching the newer version seems to be the cost factor. The car would have easily touched 50L with the new generation. This would make it very unattractive for the Indian buyers.
The launch of the Carnival is just a experimental game to spot its customers and to maintain the 'premium' image in the Indian market.

This is one good looking Van. I think a good design is a job half done. I don't know how Kia manages such good designs whereas Hyundai somehow bungles up. I think Kia has the potential to knock Maruti off its No.1 spot if it continues to bring such good looking VFM cars.

The rear profile is quite elegant but not the front grill and C-pillar. Interiors from what the pictures show seems loaded but this is probably top trim. I think Kia lucked out with the earlier gen version launch and the uncertainties with COVID. They will probably wait for the world to get back to normalcy before any new launches.
