My Thoughts/Prediction;

Changes planned which are visible from the above test mule are;

- New Bumpers (Front & Rear)
- New Headlights
- Reworked Taillights

Expected Changes;

- New Wheels
- New Instrument Cluster
- Updated iDrive

Mechanical Changes Expected;

- Expect a slight increase in power & torque numbers
- Suspension Reworking
- Better Emissions

Adding to Karan's post, see those neck/head restraints! Massive! The headlight update reminds me of the Jaguar. Waiting to hear this engine.

I think the F90 in its current form is one of the best looking BMWs of all time..

Though i agree that the F90 M5 definitely manages to look more desirable than non M G30, but still IMO there have been many other better looking BMW's (M5's included) than this one.

Infact, hoping the LCi version to positively correct the looks

I learned to love this design too: the F10 M5

If one can see the new 4 series Grancoupè design language, all german manufacturers seem to be heading in the same direction with respect to door handles. They are going back to the pull up type door handles (flush fitting ones as seen in the E28 below) from the 80's and 90's, just with the addition of new "pop-up" mode. All in the name of aerodynamics and electronics. Best example is the 992 Porsche followed by the next gen S-Class and now the upcoming 4 GC. Soon, the 5 and 7 series will have it in their next gen model. I am sure this M5/5 LCI will be the last 5 series to feature the present style of door knob.

No, this is definitely a M5. The 5 series has a proportionate bonnet and boot whereas the 3 always has a short rear boot (rear over hang too).

Completely leaked long wheelbase model of BMW 5 series face-lift version for Chinese market.

- The 5 series (G30) LWB that completely leaked this time, it is a very comfortable unit with 3,105 mm, which is +133 mm longer than the base model.

there are two major grades, Standard and M Sport, but in the M Sport grade, a front bumper with a sporty appearance is equipped with large diameter aluminum wheels and a rear diffuser that emphasizes aggressiveness, Furthermore, matte black accents are also added

- the total length is 5,106 mm × the overall width is 1,868 mm.

BMW 5 Series face-lift unveiled:

For 2021, BMW will keep the same four powertrain offerings, including the 530i, 530e plug-in, 540i, and M550i. The headline is a new 48-volt mild-hybrid system for the six-cylinder 540i model, which the company says makes the car more efficient and responsive. Power remains at 335 horsepower (250 kilowatts), although the mild-hybrid system provides quicker off-the-line response with its new electric assist

The 530e plug-in hybrid now offers 288 hp (215 kW) and a hearty 310 pound-feet (420 newton-meters) from its 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and electric drive unit. This represents a 40 hp (29 kW) bump over the current model, with that extra power available for up to ten seconds with the go-pedal floored, via a feature called “XtraBoost.” Output remains at 523 hp (390 kW) and 533 lb-ft (723 Nm) for the twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 M550i xDrive. This keeps acceleration to 60 mph at a brisk 3.6 seconds, with a top speed of 155 mph when equipped with performance tires.

the interior features some very little visual change, but it now includes BMW’s latest in infotainment tech: iDrive 7. The hardware is upgraded to a standard 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, complemented by equal-sized center touchscreen. BMW’s native navigation software, along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto also come along for the ride without having to tick an option box. This tech suite is a welcome improvement with intuitive menu layouts, quicker response times, and beautiful graphics.
