Somewhat off-topic: why is the rear suspension sagging so much? I had noticed the same in another post (Volkswagen Tiguan electric in the works; Spied testing ahead of 2024 unveil) about a test mule of the Tiguan that was spied a while ago.

The new Tiguan has been hunted in the form of a production prototype, dressed in glossy black and with important novelties that are hidden under the usual Volkswagen camouflage that deforms its aesthetic features.

Despite this, you can see how the Tiguan grows a few millimeters in the wheelbase, with a fixed rear window housed in the larger rear pillar. The new model also reveals new dynamic lines that are more attractive in the silhouette.

Radical Design? This is exactly why VW/Skoda don't sell much in India. They sold the Polo with the same old design for 12 years! Who does that? They forget that build quality is not the only thing buyers look for.

Leave it to VW to make an all-new generation model look like a facelift. But this is not always a bad thing for VW given their timeless designs.

And here comes some sacrilege, the front and rear creases on the side of the car look KUV100 inspired .

VW always sticks ugly stickers on their test cars to hide it's design and some people fall prey to it as well! They've got a good sense of humor
I love the current design of the Tiguan, now curious to see what the next-gen would look like!

Not a big issue if the design ages well. It's been a long time since the Tiguan's facelift was launched, but it still sells a lot in foreign markets and India. Want to make a timeless classic design? Give a drawing sheet to VW!
But yes, I do agree that 12 years for a design is a lot.

Of course, the fake sticker treatment only works if the overall shape is still a familiar one. On the outside, the new Tiguan retains its basic design but inside is a different story. We see an entirely new greenhouse with a center touchscreen no longer integrated into the dash. It looks like vents for the climate control are located underneath the screen, and digital gauges for the driver are deeply recessed. With the rest of the dash covered, guessing other details is impossible.
