Re: No new BMW V12 to be developed Beginning of the end of an era!
While V12s were never a mainstream engine, but the fact that these loud and monstrously powerful yet super smooth engines exist, made one to aspire to achieve things in life, just to be able to afford one at some far away point in time. That desire to work a little bit harder so that you can own one is now diminished a little. It's not all lost though, we still have the V8s to lust after. But for how long?
Can't imagine having the same feelings for the electric powered cars of the future. The target is lost.
Had chanced upon a SL 600, earlier this year, and the aural theatre at engine start up was unmatched, and still remains fresh in mind. Now, imagine a Tesla roadster instead of the 600. |
