I never liked the seven ever. From a visual point of view I always felt this was the least interesting car. From the first model onwards it went downhill and for some reason BMW is hell bend on maintaining this downward trajectory.

Everything else on this car, technology, ride, interior etc. has always been stellar. Second hand they can not give them away, very poor resale value, which is rare for Beemers in Europe.

Manufacturers nowadays are competing for the coveted "Most Atrocious Grill" award. So many come to my mind - The new Santro, Xcent, Lexus ES300H, this new 7 series facelift and more.

It amazes me how these manufacturers boldly design such grills in a market where looks matter a lot. I know looks are subjective, but certain designs just look tasteless.

We especially see such trends in facelifts of relatively good looking models. For all the huge steps Hyundai has taken to improve their products and overall quality, what they've really mastered is creating strange looking "Grill lifts", be it the new Santro (Grill lift of 1st gen i10) or the facelift of Xcent.

Out of all these Grill lifts, I'll never forget the everlasting impression the 2010 Verna facelift had on me.

Cockroach anyone?

Apparently BMW Dealerships are accepting orders for 745-Le- Hybrid for limited number of units. Prices will be about 1,6 Cr.

I feel the grille is proportionate in relation to the rest of the car albeit being bigger than previous generations. Gives the 7 a muscular stance. Can’t imagine that look with a puny grille.
