Re: Indonesia: New Honda Brio unveiled. Facelift or a new generation?

To an extent Brio was like the Yeti, Quirky in styling that had either people liking it or hating it. I really feel that the all glass hatch was a stand out design. They should not have changed it

They could have retained that and redesigned the bumper and ensured a wider opening for the boot and maybe more boot space by increasing the length of the car.

I personally have had no issues with the glass back and am sure all the Brio owners on the forum too did not have any major issues.
Brio is a good fun to drive car and the engine is decent. The 1.2 works well in Brio, may not work in heavier car.

The major issues with the Brio have been taken care, interior, rear headrest and few other in-cabin essentials. Believe me the sound system is pretty good for the class even for the first gen Brio.

I don't know the dimensions of the new car, but i wish in my Brio we could have few more inches of Boot space. Leg room is ok if most of your occupants are 5'10 tall.

All I see is a modified Tiago with light housing from the SX4 and still the same thin seats.
The C-pillar and hatch are the exact same as the Tiago.

This should have been the original Brio when it was launched in India, manageable boot, better rear seats (with head-rests) and a better dashboard layout. She now looks more European than Japanese.

Going against the tide, I like the old design as it is very unique and stands out in the crowded hatchback market. Not to mention the sweet engine and the sporty character she has. Given a choice, I would still trade my old Brio for the new one if brought to India

Re: Honda Brio : Test Drive & Review

How I miss the quirky glass hatch door of the original Brio

That added character to the car and made it stand out.

Why isn't the Brio sporting the same new improved dashboard as the Amaze? Because it may not fit.

Old Brio = Old Amaze = New Brio = 1680mm width.

New Amaze = 1695mm width. Its a 15mm wider car.
