Nissan Japan admits fraud in Emission & Fuel Economy tests Nissan Motors that was involved in a vehicle-inspection scandal last year, said an internal check found employees had falsified exhaust emission and fuel-economy data at five local factories.

As part of this investigation, in the survey on measurement of fuel consumption and emission at completion inspection, for vehicles manufactured at all domestic vehicle manufacturing plants other than Nissan Motor Kyushu, following exhaust gas / I have grasped that there was appropriate action.
(1) The exhaust gas and fuel consumption measurement test deviating from the test environment was carried out.
(2) The measurement value was rewritten to prepare the inspection report, and
along with this, the fact confirmed by the Company and the results of the survey up to the present Today, I reported to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. In addition, concerning the series of completed inspection examinations that was discovered last September, concerned individuals were inconvenienced and worried a lot.
