The last "GTO" built by Ferrari to go racing, the 288 GTO was set to compete in Group B racing. Homologation regulations required that Ferrari build at least 200 of these cars to sell. However, the racing series was scrapped and all 272 cars built eventually became road cars. The 288 GTO never raced and was never allowed to show the world what it is capable of. Officially called the GTO, it is powered by a 2.9-litre V8 engine producing 394 BHP at 7,000 rpm and 496 Nm at 3,800 rpm. 0-100 kph time is quoted as 4.9 seconds with a top speed of 305 kph.

The Enzo's design has largely been influenced by aerodynamics to generate maximum downforce. It is powered by a 6.0-litre V12 engine producing 650 BHP at 7,800 rpm and 657 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. 0-100 kph is rated at 3.65 seconds and has a top speed of over 350 kph. 400 units were produced between 2002 and 2004.
