I rented from Turo around 2 years ago when I was in Chicago (BMW X5), and in Boston (Camaro). The owner's were pretty good when it came to renting out their cars and it was quite easy to co-ordinate for both vehicles.
However, do keep in mind that unlike regular rentals - these cars aren't in the best of condition and often have a fair amount of usage unlike a typical rental car company that will give you the car in pristine condition.
Both the X5 and Camaro had over 60K miles on them, and could really use a wash and a good cleaning.
Please do have a look at the reviews (of the car, as well as the owner) before going ahead with the booking and even then, be prepared that it will more often than not be at least 20% below your expectations (unless you're booking a brand new car / exotic car). But there are some great deals to be had on there.
