2018 Ford Everest (Endeavour) spied completely undisguised

2018 Ford Everest (2019 Ford Endeavour) spied completely undisguised

"The 2018 Ford Everest features subtle changes at the front. Its revised radiator grille has three horizontal chrome slats in a design similar to that of the 2018 Ford Ranger. The integrated bumper connects the fog lamps in a more prominent look, in a way that there’s no empty space left on the lower half of the front end and a silver frame forms around the lower grille"

Since the kits are sourcing from Thailand, i guess we can expect it right after the launch in Thailand.

Wow, talk about a 'blink and you'll miss it' update . Even if I were to spot it on the road, I wouldn't have known it's the newer version. No wonder Ford didn't camoflauge it .

Wish Ford did something about the rear styling; it's the only unappealing part of what is otherwise a butch & handsome SUV.

Are you sure the white one is the refreshed version? The one standing behind it(only bonnet visible) looks more like a refreshed one.

All of FORD vehicles are running on TC Plates, so it appears these are still being tested.

Testing continues in Thailand. There are rumors that Everest facelift will be launched in Thailand by the end of July/August 2018

So it appears that this update is more than some cosmetic changes and additional features. However, I doubt any manufacturer can have so many options for engine considering the low volumes. Depending on the costs of the engine, FORD will keep either of existing 2,2 / 3,2 in my opinion with the new engine. And 10 Speed Auto, I think that's for US markets and may not come to Australian/ Asian market. It will be an overkill probably.

"However, the 2.2L TDCi diesel engine’s maximum power and maximum torque figures will drop below to 110 kW (150 PS) and 375 Nm"

Since they reduce the power, i don't think 2.2 make much sense to us. I'm guessing they might bring 2.0 (180PS & 420Nm) & along with the existing 3.2 first followed by 2.0 ( 213PS & 500NM ) with 10AT later.

Why an overkill? Can you please elaborate as I assume having more gears is always better. Jeep is also introducing 9 speed zf in diesel variant and people are already going gaga over it. Would like to know for my knowledge.

Haha, maybe I am old-fashioned, for me less is better. In fact, I love the 6-speed Gearbox on mine X6 then say an 8 Speed on the X5. There will definitely gain on the mileage and the top-speed but these SUVS do multiple duties. No rational or technical reasons that I am aware of, just a hunch that 10 speeds are too much especially given our traffic, hope it does work as intended.
