The YouTuber Salomondrin owned a McLaren Senna for all of 11 days, putting 400 miles on it in that time before it caught fire. How that fire started is a mystery for now, though Salomondrin—legal name Alejandro Salomon—says in a new video that the car “burned itself.”

McLaren has issued a recall for nearly 2800 vehicles across its lineup built between 2016 and 2020, including its $1 million hypercar, the Senna.
The affected vehicles are built with a foam pad underneath the fuel tank that can absorb water, corrode the fuel tank, and lead to fuel leaking and, potentially, fire.
The affected McLaren products are the 2016 to 2020 720S, the 2020 GT, 2019 Senna, and the 2017 to 2019 570GT.
McLaren will replace the foam pad and also the fuel tank, if it has corrosion.
