This basically looks like the US spec Honda fit. And People In the US spend tons of money to get the JDM spec kits. Which are only compatible with cars with bumpers like ours.
Face-lift Jazz/FIT TVC shooting in Malaysia!
Speculates a face-lift for rest of the world is close. In Japan the face-lift model is expected to be released in May.
Quote:
it’s unlikely that the Japanese ad for the JDM Fit facelift is being shot in Malaysia – assuming this is a local TVC, the refreshed Jazz’s launch will be just around the corner, possibly at the same time or just after the hatchback’s home market debut

Looks nice, the front end looks more sleek then before.
When is this coming to India? Hope they give it more features this time around.
Honda seems to be slowly turning things around!
Subtle but certainly much improved looks to my eye
Ideally will be great if Honda can bring this new Jazz to India this year - but not sure as they have just launched WRV.
Cant fathom why they dont put the 1.5 petrol into the Jazz (or atleast the WRV).
Honda USP always was performance and economy - something the 1.5 petrol motor offers in spades.
Honda Jazz facelift previewed in Malaysia.

Incidentally, the Malaysian display car features a differently styled front bumper to the Japanese version, and is also dressed in a different wheel design.

The Japanese version looks sharper IMO. This one looks a lot like the City facelift. Which one will India get remains to be seen.
A Jazz Hybrid would certainly be a great Halo car for the Jazz.
Shoudnt we start getting the facelift at the same time as other ASEAN countries, I thought the Jazz was made from kits shipped from Thailand.
Maybe about 12.5 on-road for top-end Hybrid automatic?
Hyundai is already rolling out some pretty good Hybrid and the last thing Honda wants is to be beaten to the punch here!
A Jazz Hybrid would have me running to grab my cheque book. My 2010 Honda Jazz has been an utterly untroublesome lass now soon to be completing 7 years. It is our family's utility hack-maid of all work and runs without fuss at the hands of 6 different people. A Jazz Plug-in Hybrid would be ideal.
Yes ! This would be a great differentiator for the Jazz. I would be happy to pay a premium for hybrid over diesel.
A Jazz Hybrid would be a great upgrade for lot of owners of 1&2nd Gen City, Original Jazz and of-course Brio.
Have read on the forum of decline on Honda Quality - but it is not apparent on my wife's 4.5 year old Brio.
The exterior paint has held up very well, the interiors are as good as new. The car is still fun to drive (weak bottom-end aside) after 39800 km. In many ways we found it to be the perfect city car.
I found this on the Japan website.
The blue paint scheme is to die for and look at those oh so classy seats with blue piping !!!
More importantly, it is the Japanese version of the City (GRACE) and this one is a hybrid, with 4WD and a dual clutch transmission.
Why cant Honda bring limited editions of this car? say 500 units?
20L on-road in India (top-end) would still find customers for what is on offer
The SPORT HYBRID i-DCD hybrid system claims 34.4 kmpl and 29.4 kmpl for the 4WD!!
In fact there a lot of bits that Honda should bring to India from the Japanese version of City (GRACE)
Honda needs to stop treating its Indian customers as third-class customers for the Honda brand.
The pictures below should speak for themselves - the boot has cladding, the keyfob looks lovely, look at that lovely luggage tray! The new speedo looks super too!
These features and Hybrid, etc - would be concrete proof that Honda is getting its Mojo back clap:
Honda JAZZ facelift will get new 1.5L hybrid with 7-speed dual clutch.
Launching in June in Japan and in August for the Malaysian market.

The petrol variant, which will go on sale ahead of the Hybrid sometime in the present quarter, will likely soldier on with the same 1.5 litre i-VTEC four-cylinder engine that produces 120 PS at 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm at 4,600 rpm, mated to an Earth Dreams continuously variable transmission (CVT).

The Hybrid utilises the automaker’s Sport Hybrid Intelligent Dual Clutch Drive (i-DCD) system, which is led by a 110 PS and 134 Nm 1.5 litre i-VTEC Atkinson-cycle engine. The mill is paired with a seven-speed dual clutch transmission featuring a built-in motor offering 29.5 PS and 160 Nm and a lithium-ion battery. Total system output is rated at 137 PS.
The electric motor features a wide ratio range and electric servo brakes in its design. The clutch is engaged to the engine during acceleration and high-speed cruising, and disengaged during startup and low- to medium-speed cruising. The transmission is also disconnected from the engine during deceleration to aid energy regeneration.
