Definitely the 8 Series. The new 6 Series is a bulkier unit.

2018 BMW 8-Series officially teased ahead of Villa d’Este debut.



BMW will reveal the 8-Series in a design study form on May 26 at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, providing a look ahead to the production Coupe model that’s slated for 2018.

The 8 Series is actually coming back in 2018, and BMW had planned to give internet fanboys who have been dreaming of this for decades a concept design this weekend. Well the weekend is here early, as photos of the concept have allegedly leaked

interesting. so they kill the 6-series and call what was supposed to be next-gen 6 as 8 series. Quite clever actually. seen in isolation, there are lots to appreciate in the styling. However, look closely and one can recognise many Aston Martin lines inside and outside.

The side scoop behind the front wheel is straight out of a Bentley EXP-10 concept.

Seems like BMW is struggling to re-imagine their design language while its industry peers are re-defining themselves already.

Well I'm not a huge fan. I'm not sure where the BMW design language is going. The rear is heavily influenced by the i8, but the profile/side is too much like the DB11 and the new upcoming Bentley coupe. Atleast the headlights don't meet the grille, and to me that's a plus point.

Overall I feel it looks more like their imagined 'Porsche 911 rival' than a competitor to the 'luxury coupe' like the S-Coupe.

Also if past BMW concepts are anything to go by, the production version will look a lot tamer than this.

The 850 CSI is a timeless design and IMHO looks so much better than the over streamlined, creased & crevassed modern cars. That along with that massive displacement engine of the CSI makes it a dream car to own! A video of a CSI that has me drooling

BMW M used this weekend’s M Festival held at the Nürburgring to confirm an M8 performance flagship will form part of the new 8-Series range currently in the works.

The first member of the new range will be a regular 8-Series coupe. It debuts in 2018 and was previewed on Friday at the 2017 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este in Italy by an 8-Series concept. The M8 is expected to arrive shortly after the regular 8-Series.
