Why Brio was bought? I have failed to find this answer. May be the Honda badge, but I am not sure. Indian car market is difficult to understand for sure, mostly we have followers who will buy a Maruti because most people buy a Maruti!!

Also, once a flop model, the facelift doesn't help, we dont have any example where a facelift has saved the fate of a model either.

The upgraded Brio will get the same dashboard design that we recently saw on the facelift version of the Amaze, which of course is and will be a huge step up from what the hatchback currently beholds. Added features will include 2-Din multimedia system with multiple platforms of connectivity, smart looking air-con controlled module, steering mounted control etc.

Other than a refreshed cabin, the Brio facelift will also feature certain design changes done on the exterior of the car as well.

This is great news! If.......true!
I have been waiting to buy a Honda automatic but ran into the following roadblocks
1) Brio unable to make a case for itself at that price.
2) Jazz unable to make a case for itself at that price.
3) City out of reach and not the right size for..umm...the city.

How much of a price bump did the Amaze get with the facelift ? We can expect a similar increase in the Brio's price I guess.

Re: Honda Brio : Test Drive & Review

Looks like a cross between the old Brio, and (wait for it) the Old Beetle. What is really needed is an updated dash. The display is too archaic.

Re: Indonesia: Honda Brio facelift unveiled

I see a new front grille, a BRV inspired dash...wonder if there is anything "non-trivial" under the hood?

Is this enough to help increase sales? I wonder.

This is the VX variant? Not a pleasant sight with all those dummy buttons and the plain jane meter console from the BRV base variant.

We are also not getting the new tail gate seen in the international facelift, along with rear wash wipe feature. The all black BRV dashboard is a welcome addition though.

The first thing they have to get rid off is the glass hatch. Rest all comes later.

I wonder if there is any change to the Auto variant. Will it get the Jazz' CVT or will they continue with the old 5-speed auto?

It will probably be the CVT , since it shares that with the Jazz and the Amaze. I cant believe Honda can be so cheap and omit the rear wash and wipe from the Indian version, which now seems to be certainty given the above shows the VX variant. Expecting a 20-30K rupee price bump over the old version.

Re: Indonesia: Honda Brio facelift unveiled

Expecting to increase its current pathetic sales figures Honda will release this facelift in coming days!

Honda Brio facelift has reached all dealers in India and the launch could be announced very soon. The Brio facelift will carry few cosmetic changes on the outside and major updates to the interiors.

The 2016 Brio facelift will get a CVT transmission similar to the Amaze.

Re: Indonesia: Honda Brio facelift unveiled

Absolutely shameful on Honda's part to exclude the rear Wash-wipe and the newer rear end that every other market gets , heck , cars manufactured in India and exported to other countries gets it as well.
Given the dismal amount of interest people have shown in the facelift Brio as is (rightly) evident in this thread, the final straw in killing of people's interest is the rather steep price hike Honda has implemented since Sept 15.
The new price for the old Brio is 7.76L On road Pune with Zero extras, not even the number plate. As with the Amaze , the facelift is expected to hike it further up by 20-30k. I am supposed to get mine in the next couple of weeks, but now I am not so sure.

Honda Cars India will be launching the Brio facelift on 4th October, 2016. (link)

The first lot of cars have reached most Honda showrooms, and the facelift is expected to be available for delivery immediately post-launch.

Re: Indonesia: Honda Brio facelift unveiled

I saw the facelift being offloaded near a dealer's lot today. Rear is quite the same , so you cant even make out its a facelift.
Its a capture from my dashcam.
