Lamborghini Centenario possibly revealed in patent photos

The Lamborghini Centenario has been previewed, in patent images that depict the full styling of the limited-run car.

Newly published Lamborghini patent images might give us a preview of the upcoming Centenario, which celebrates the hundredth anniversary of Ferruccio Lamborghini's birth.

Only 40 Centenario models will be made – 20 coupés and 20 convertibles, and all have already found homes. The Centenario name isn’t officially confirmed yet, although Lamborghini boss Stephan Winkelmann revealed that a name has been decided upon.

That looks like a chicken coming out of eggshell in profile.
We were thinking DC copied Lamborghini, but it seems to be the other way around. That profile is way to ungainly at the back, just like the avanti.

Lamborghini Centenario -- The coupe celebrates founder Ferruccio Lamborghini's 100th birthday.

The limited-edition hypercar uses a naturally aspirated V12 with 770 horsepower and can get to 62 miles per hour in 2.8 seconds. The top speed is an impressive 218 miles per hour. The body and monocoque are entirely carbon fiber, and the rear wing extends at high speeds for more downforce to stick the hypercar to the road.

Lambo plans to produce a limited run of Centenarios consisting of 20 coupes and 20 roadsters. We look forward to getting more details when the limited-edition hypercar officially debuts soon.

IMO it doesn't look that great. Though naturally aspirated is good news. Good to know Lamborghini still does things the old, brutal way. A big lambo should be V12 without any turbochargers and the driver should be scared silly by it's power delivery. That's the way world works..

So the numbers are out and they sound a little diasappointing to me. 770PS and 1,520kgs. Would have looked good on the Aventador SV, but they just don't cut it here.
All that carbon fibre and the car still weighs that heavy? All those cylinders and the car only makes 760hp? Is that all the innovation they could come up with?
It is supposed to be the 100th birth anniversary celebration of the man whose name the company bears, for heaven's sake! They should have gone all out and made a mental car and not just a Mansory'd SV. Yes, to me it looks like Mansory's take on the SV. Oh wait, they already have and it makes 819hp and weighs 1,475kgs. And I am sure it costs nowhere near as ridiculous as the Centenario. $1.9 million is a lot of money for a 'body-kit'. And that's what it honestly is. Specially seeing how you can get so much more car from other makers for the same or even less money. Pretty shoddy work from Lamborghini.
Should have maybe made a production Aventador J. Just my two cents.

To me it looks like a not so pleasant mix of Huracan and Aventador . Aventador SV still looks much better.

I did not like this Centenario much, i'd prefer a stock Aventador over this.

Also IMO out of all these outlandish Lambo special eds like this then the Veneno etc i think the best yet was the REVENTON

For those member of the Lamborghini persuasion; Today I went to a super car show and the star of the show was the Centenary. Apparently it only got its registration plate yesterday Friday late afternoon, so it almost had not made it to the show.

The paint scheme caused quite a bit of discussion. See for yourself:
