Details of ARGO emerge from leaked catalouge at dealers,

Argo will have seven variants. The 5-speed Manual Drive 1.0, 5-speed manual drive 1.3, drive 1.3 GSR (automated), precision 1.8 Manual 5-speed, 6-gear automatic precision 1.8, HGT 1.8 Manual 5 gears and 6 automatic HGT 1.8.

It will be three solid color choices for drive and precision versions: White Banchisa, Vulcan Black and alpine red. There will still be two unique colours for the top-line version hgt: Portofino Blue and Modena red. will be four metallic colours: Bari silver, Grey scandium, Black Vesuvius and white Alaska.

Optional Kits:

The version 1.0 drive will have four packages. The first, dubbed the Multimedia Kit, will have 7-inch central Ultimídia and multi-functional steering wheel. The parking kit will have car sensor and aft camera, the convenience kit will have external electric rear view mirrors and rear electric windows. Finally, radio connect with Radio Connect (no touch screen) and steering multi-functional.


The 1.3 drive version will have three optional packages. Parking kit with car sensor and aft camera, kit convenience with external electric rear-view mirrors and electric rear windows and kit stile with 15-inch lightweight alloy wheels and fog lamps.

For the 1.3 GSR drive will be two packages: Parking kit with car sensor and aft camera and kit stile with light alloy wheels of 15 inches and fog headlights.

These are four optional precision 1.8 kits. They are: Tech kit with keyvless entry, digital air conditioning and high tech kit. The parking kit will have car sensor and aft camera, kit stile with 16-inch lightweight alloy wheels and leather seat and side bags kit with lateral airbags.

For the top of the line hgt, they will be exactly the same packages as the precision version. The only change is for kit Stile, which has 17-inch lightweight alloy wheels

Exactly! It looks more like a KIA than a FIAT! I also see a bit of Alfa Giulietta in the taillights though, which is welcome. But the rest of it just feels like the Punto has got all it's soul sucked out.

They went with a generic look, instead of the traditional Punto look; maybe that justifies the change of name to Argo. What a shame, will miss the pillar mounted taillights that the Punto has had for generations.

It is such an irony, that on one hand we have 'Team BHP - One of the Most Respected Auto-enthusiasts Forum' where I am quite sure that some 'Decision Maker' from the automobile industry is always keeping a watch...and on the other had we have FIAT India sleeping over their pre-historic products

I agree to the fact that the Argo really looks like the love-child of Elite I20 & TATA Tiago, but surely this will be a much needed fresh launch from FIAT. I particularly like that 'Floating HU' sort of setup on the dash, and for once, will prove that FIAT is not only about engine, mechanicals, once was, has been, and so on.

Get this to India with just 2 engines - 1.4 T-Jet and 1.6 MJD (may be 1.5 MJD).

The second option will be the 1.3 firefly four-cylinder flex, which has power of 109 CV and torque of 14.2 lbf. With it, Argo arrives at 100 km/h in 10.8 seconds and has a maximum of 184 km/h. Already urban consumption is 9.2 km/l with ethanol and 12.9 km/l with gasoline; On the road, it rises to 10.2 km/l with ethanol and 14.3 km/l with gasoline. With automated exchange, averages pass to 8.9 km/h with ethanol and 12.7 km/h with gasoline in the urban cycle and 10 km/l with ethanol and 14.4 km/L with gasoline on the road

Already the 1.8 e engine. Torq Evo vis from 139 cv to 5,750 rpm and from 19.3 lbf to 3,750 rpm will be reserved for top-of-line options, especially sporting hgt. Really melodious chirp by the Birdies
If they do showcase in auto expo should work well to put back some public confidence in the brand. Video looks amazing - I wonder how many of those features will find their way here, if and when the car does launch.
