Finally the wait is over to see the trio together after such a long time.
The proper grand entry for the grand tour.
Just finished watching it, and let me tell you guys it is as fun to watch as the top gear used to but slightly more enjoyable.
Though I am huge fan of these three men out there.

What a comeback, absolutely brilliant. Amazing show as expected & boy what an entrance they made.

Btw here is the song that played in the beginning, but the picturization in GT makes it even more meaningful

Hats off! This is the best opening sequence I have seen in a long time. I mean it is really really good. The show still the same with what we all like and love to see. The holy trinity is really good and the humor is still present. They have a brand new innovative section called - "conversation street" though to which they have put a lot of thought into.

Overall - must watch if you are into cars. Others may skip if you do not know what Top Gear was.

You can always download it through you-know-where, but there's a running commentary embedded within the "broadcast" on Prime that you wouldn't be able to get, and it's a must to have that since it's often insightful and humourous.

Loved the show! The entry as well as JC's stoid departure and then the airport sequence etc are a smack in the face for his previous employers. Production quality is really good, so not shortfalls there.

Looking forward to the next one, which is shot in Jo'berg.

Well, it was that, and ALL the rest.
Brilliant bonhomie, and the smile on Clarkson's face when the others join up was heartwarming.
The guys are a little older, yes, and they sound just a little bit too excited, at least on the first episode. But this was america, and since Clarkson has more or less a free rein now, it was little long drawn, the "american wrong way" thingies. I am sure it will be business as usual in other locales. Also did not like the electronic power lap board. How will the Koeniggseegggseggggegeeggg happen here?
Loved it to bits!! Its almost like like meeting with a long lost best friend from college.

The first episode was simply amaz(on)ing! Jeremy seems to have aged considerably from his last appearance, and so has James. But that was to be expected.
Amazon's higher production budget shows in the cinematography and the execution. The montage hints at a pretty amazing season ahead!

The Grand Tour, the show many of us were waiting to be released and well it did not disappoint us in its first episode.
I loved the way the show began with Jeremy walking out 'BBC' building and handing out his badge to the security and flying to LA where he is joined by his friends May and Hammond. The sequence was made magical with their choice of background song.

The good bits :-
- Jeremy and the trio did not change themselves for the new US owners of their show. They still think that Americans drive on the wrong side of the road and their choice of words to describe cars can be misleading.
- The chemistry is still there between them.
- They are still amazing when it comes to reviewing cars.

The not so good bits :-
- BBC production team was better in terms of cinematography and editing.
- I would have loved a 'stig' instead of the ' American Nascar driver' and that's not because of his driving.
- Celebrity section, its going to be a challenge I guess.

To sum it up, I definitely loved the first episode and realized that I had missed the trio and Andy Wilman. That said I definitely need to warm up to the new format and the new production unit. I wish all the best to the team and its journey to become another global success.
